Idk but I felt like the stang interior ('11 base w/ brembos 3.73), It was just plain, and I hated the center console... honestly looked like an appliance, it was like my fridge, it's cool.... I guess as cool a refrigerator can be. Gauges didn't help with the boat feel either.

edit: even the base 370z interior and the awkward gas gauge felt 100x more engaging to me.

I just typed out this long as story to answer the question of why I didn't like it and my phone said we to no service mode after I hit enter....and now I do t have it. Here's a short version

Not as sexy as I'd like it

Gas mileage of 12.6 (**** epa numbers. I baby it and can get 18 hwy and 13 city. And I mean shifting at 2.5k rpms and cc 70 in 6th gear)took it from daily driver and canyons twice a month to errands after work (ride with dad to work again) and canyons once a month if I'm lucky.

And this car ain't made for canyons (duh)

Basically impulse bought it cause I didn't get approved for a loan for the 370 and got hooked on power. Not what I should have purchased and now I pay the price. It's fast, it looks ok, but it's no canyon carver or a daily drive (at least when commute is 26 miles one way)

Pitch 12-23-2013 01:13 PM

This. Get your dad paid back, get your mustang paid down to where you have significant equity built up, and then buy something else. With a huge down payment.

How big is huge? If your talking 15-20k....I'd end up putting that down on a 50k dollar car....instead of 6-10 on a 30-35k one lol

Maybe you could look at a 13 or 14 370Z in 3 or 4 years?

Why?

You need to start being a little more responsible with your money. You're in debt because you bought a car you don't like, and you're underwater on it. Now you think if you managed tyo save up a good down payment, the smart thing to do is drop it on a 50k car?

Pitch 12-23-2013 01:47 PM

Well I'm only backwards on it if I was to trade it in. I come ahead 2k if I sell it

Yes I know I do. But I would be in debt no matter what car I bought u less it was a giant sack of ****. And when I buy a house ill be in more debt. The us of a is in debt....everyone e is in debt. Not that it makes it a good idea to go in more debt myaelf. Once I pass 10k in the bank account t ill be more geared towards a house. Right now not so much, but that's cause I don't have it. People can dream about owning c7's and Cayman S's can't we? Sheesh :P

Right, because a car note and a mortgage are the same thing. Go ahead, justify your decision-making however you want.

Pitch 12-23-2013 01:54 PM

Debt is debt and you can't say it's not. Im not arguing they are of the same i.oirtance or anything now, dont get me wrong

Did you not read the part where I said once I pass 10k it's for a house jot a car?

Ehhh....I was 21 once too, and a gear head. Still a gear head though so I think we all relate to what you want out of cars. Its probably a good idea, if you didnt make another auto purchase before you have this Mustang paid WAY WAY down and in a better financial position. Do what you want, most of us have been there, or where youre going unfortunately. Sure, youll have a very sweet ride, but youll be worried. You wont enjoy it if youre worries so much. So save. Itll be worth it. Start a precedence, get OUT of debt instead of making more.

With today's low interest rates (although he is so young he might not qualify), no money down is a great option. I'll pay that 1.49-1.99% all day long on a car note so I can invest the cash at 10%+ (32% in 2013).

Debt is not scary or a bad thing. Success is determined in how you leverage it.
