I can't fault you either.

How often does some idiot spoil it for you?

Worse than expected.

Chuck33079 07-26-2013 09:39 AM

Yeah, but it's easy to go around and try again, so it's not all bad.

I don't want to say too much except I had to be towed to the gas station again. This is my third tow related to fuel starvation. I had about 6 or 7 dots on my gauge, but apparently that isn't enough for street driving. So do yourself a favor, keep the tank fill or prepare to get stranded or run over by trucks at the on ramp.

Not sure if this is related but check out my thread;

By the way, I have to ask you about your avatar of the old NHL Hartford Whalers Hockey uniform before they moved to Carolina to become the Carolina Hurricanes. Are you from CT or the New England area transplanted to CA?

Yeah, I don't have that problem
I feel your fuel pump is on it's way out especially if you've fuel starved before

I would agree, it sounds like something else. I have only experienced fuel starvation at 2/3 tank on VERY hard turns at the track. I don't see how this could even remotely happen daily driving.

I dont understand the fuel pump excuse, wouldnt it do it turning either direction or at low tank levels even in a straight? I am 100% certain my fuel pump is fine.

My fuel pump is fine. My Z just don't like hard right hand turns. :icon14:

Should install a external fuel cel in the trunk and pipe it to the purge tank in the tank. Maybe use a valve to keep it shut. If you starve or run out, open the valve and fill the purge back up.

Maybe use a mercury switch and an electronic valve so tight turns the mercury switch turns on, valve opens, fuel dumps into the purge, but straight line the valve is shut so you don't empty the fuel cel.
