Cruising, your oil temps should be more then fine. Plenty of air flow, no high revving. 250ish is where you should start to worry but even with no oil cooler,

Cruising, your oil temps should be more then fine. Plenty of air flow, no high revving. 250ish is where you should start to worry but even with no oil cooler, you should have no problems unless you get stuck in some bad traffic.

You should have no issues, but if you're that concerned, before the trip, do an oil change and use one of many quality synthetic oils. I'm using M1 0w-40 in mine. Any synth will work.
