Default First long trip in the Z

Took the Z to Dallas (From Oklahoma), about a 5 hour drive.
The second day of spring and I got snowed in at Dallas, it was quite the weekend.
The car was comfortable overall, drove through 32 degree weather both ways with snow/precipitation the whole way. Puts me around 8500 miles now, they're building quite a bit faster than i thought they would :\

Dallas drivers are awesome by the way lol.

You must be out of your mind.. if you think Dallas drivers are bad.. Then you've never seen a Houston driver... Dallas drivers are the most generous people, but we tend to speed and 80 is the minimum on the hwy.

I hate both Houston and Dallas drivers for different reasons. Half the Dallas drivers are on cell phones so they aren't paying attention. Then they try to sweep across 3 lanes to make an exit coming up (with 50ft).

For me though, its LA drivers that piss me off. Everytime I get upset at Dallas drivers, I remember the times that I have spent on the 405, literally at 0mph. parked forever.

Glad the drive was good though! I recently drove down to Austin and it was a joy to drive. I don't think I could exceed 3-4 hours in the Z without having to get out and stretch a little though, an old car accident (someone ran a red and smacked us) has left my back a little tweaked. Other than that though, I find the Z to be a decent weekend road trip car.

Having moved from Houston to San Antonio about 17 years ago, that statement is definitely true. They drive so slow here so when I'm back in Houston, I have to get back in the groove of driving a little faster.

Looking forward to my first road trip back to Houston very soon.

You got that right, they are rude and hardly courteous. Being from S.Cal, we have busier roads at home but I find the people more courteous on the roads there than in the DFW area.

It's not the LA drivers that are causing the problem - it's the CA legislators who love the tax $ and fees they get from new housing developments but won't spend the money they should on infrastructure improvements (like adding more lanes to congested freeways)!

This also applies in Melbourne Australia, they just love the money coming in but do nothing in regards to infrastructure.

You want to talk about bad drivers? Drive through KY, OMG lets talk on our cell phone not use turn signals, plus 10 under, then realize we need to make this left coming up so we slam on the brakes almost causing an accident because there is no left hand turning lane on the Dixie dieway. I hate driving in KY
