Default Your opinion and feedback please!

I'm going to start taking my Z to one of the local car shows here in Melbourne, FL to sit around and shoot the sh!t with others about our rides.

I've noticed some of the cars at the show have small poster board signs above their engines listing the modifications done to their cars.

My Z looks pretty much stock at first glance.

My first question is, what do you think of posting a small poster board sign listing my mods when showing my Z at a local car show?

Is it overboard, stupid or good car show etiquette?

I've never shown my Z at a car show and I don't want to look like a knuckle head.

If you think it's OK or not, what do you think of me using this sign I made in Photoshop. See below.

Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. There's a few guys that do this in my area too.

I for one get kind of tired of the "stock Z" comments when I've got $6000 in mods in it.

I have seen some people get flamed (friends I was with at a car show doing it to other friends) for doing that with a stock or nearly stock car. You have plenty of mods to justify it. I for one, like to see the different mods listed at a show like that

My brother use to do car shows years ago, and yes, IMHO its a good idea.. Unless you want to explain to everyone exactly all the mods you have done lol, and I think more people will ask you questions about the mods they want to do. Do it does help.

I think it kinda depends on the size of the meet. If its just a smaller local meet, ehhh i'd probably leave it at home, however if were talking like a large event, then its pretty cool.

While I'm not into the whole car show circuit thing, I think that is a pretty classy way to do it. Nice job.

Thanks to all for the feedback. You've convinced me to post the list of mods.

A lot of good points made here. Especially "shopping list for car thieves." In spite of that, I won't let a little fear stop me showing my car and having fun with my two sons. Nonetheless ... your point is well taken.

Thanks again to all who responded.

BTW thats a pretty nice list, I think it'd be pretty cool if instead of putting the stock specs, you put what your car actually put down

Yeah, I see what you're saying. That makes sense. There is typically 50-70 cars showing and it seems a though (Old and New) the Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Mopars and Imports park together in groups. I would guess that 1/3 of the cars had list of mods posted.

Thanks!

My car is pretty much stock. So I just put my user manual there instead of mod list. It pretty much tells what my car can do to whoever interested.
