Just to pile on some more, I do like VDC off. It lets me take low-speed turns as I want and does give a bit more power to the fun meter when going straight. The Z is my first RWD car.
But ... if it's wet at all, I leave VDC on. if I'm driving over 50mph, I turn VDC back on. if I'm driving at super slow speeds in heavy traffic, I'll just flip it on. if I feel like I may need to speed up suddenly in traffic for whatever reason and not in a straight line, I'll leave VDC on. Basically, I turn VDC off for times I want and am aware that I have more control, or I turn it back on when I'm just driving and not looking to be more spirited at the moment. Honestly, some of the replies in this thread (and the others that have discussed this same topic) are comical. "don't touch VDC unless you have some clearance and room to spare and no one to hit", "unless you are track God, drift king, ... leave VDC ON" - I mean really, some of the comments are just plain laughable. If you don't know how to handle a performance car, then yes, leave VDC on. If you do know how to handle a performance car, then it doesn't matter. Sheesh... |

The car in stock form isn't that quick but if you're careless and let it get away from you then I guess you deserve it. Stupid SHOULD hurt.Between the A/C and this hot humid air in Florida it feels like a boat anchor is tied to the flywheel. |
