Nismo or boss ?

Haha , no I had a touring with automatic for 6 month and I just trade it in for nismo 3month ago

Stay with me here for a second, you had a 370Z Touring, just 3 Month ago got the Nismo.....and now you ask if you should trade for a BOSS

If you have any disposable income to waste, I give you my account info. Why the heck didn't you test the BOSS 3 month ago before making the switch?

Either way, I drove the Boss, the Genesis and the Z, the Boss is powerfull but as you said, you see Mustang at every corner, and it is a.....well....Ford, enough said. Stick with the Nismo I would say!

Nope. But everyone should know by now that doesn't matter.

Because it hasn't really hindered performance, and contrary to what most believe live axles are not always inferior to a independent setup.

Here's a bit of what Billy Johnson had to say on the matter over on S2KI. Billy races the Roush Mustang in the Continental Tire series and has also done some NASCAR road racing.

Ultimately you end up having to move to a IRS setup on a street car (next gen Mustang is going to be IRS), but not necessarily for performance reasons. For one, you don't have to design a chassis with a big ole hump in the back to fit the rear axle. This gives you more efficient use of space and would actually make the rear seats of the Mustang useful.

There are more reasons we could get into, but the bottom line is as far as performance goes, the solid axle is not the crutch that most like to say it is.

I appreciate the informative response. So everybody knows this but me? Man, I really have been busy. Anyway, I'll reserve my judgment and do more reading.

it only doesn't matter on the track, try to take a corner on a bumpy street and see what happens...

maybe cuse you know better, ie slow down through curves ect...i've driven T/As for many years and and i bought a Z because I was tired of slowing down before each turn

I've taken plenty of bumpy corners on the street in my Zs and my Mustang. The rear end of the Mustang only gets upset on a road bumpy enough to upset the Z as well.

But obviously my experience doesn't count so I will defer to you. You're right, the Mustang can't corner on anything but a flat surface.

Everyone knows Mustangs can't turn. They're kind of like Derek Zoolander, except they can't turn left or right.

Tell me about it. My Z hops sideways on bumps while making a left turn. It takes awhile for it to regain consciousness to get it moving. At the same time VDC was killing power in the middle of the turn. O_o
