This is actually true to a point. Sometimes it's fun to take a slow car and beat the living **** out of it and barely break the speed limit. It's the rental car paradox.

yeah! I love that you can have fun and do wild drifting power slides, all @ <20MPH!

Sure, that's mostly because that's the only speed it can manage to do those things at, but that's totally beside the point!

Life's all about the journey, it doesn't matter how quickly you get to where you going. Especially in a sports car!

$30,000 well spent, IMO.

Like I said, to a point. Some of the most fun I've ever had was drifting my beater Volvo. But it cost $500. For $30k the BRZ needs another 50 hp.

Get an MC, twice the rush at half the price.

Or,put unstaggered 7 inch wide wheels on your Z covered in nankangs, get a 1.2 inch drop. Enjoy being an FRS for a day.

And no cheezy interior

Online sarcasm is hard to detect sometimes :ugh2:

Would certainly make the Z more dynamic. Nissan should consider this!

chrischhorn 05-29-2013 03:30 PM

I wasted my money on the Z.......I couldve bought Forza for 1/1000th of the price and had every car in the world.....

Now that THAT is out of the way...

So I think the FR-S/BRZ is a much better car than the Z, despite it's lack of horsepower, and if you don't agree, you just don't get it.

Discuss.

This ranks right up there with "why are all the owners of FRS/BRZ's douche bags."

Wow real similar. lol :ugh:

The only thing similar is FR

Because I said they were Identical right? :shakes head: I believe I said comparable...

Oh an how blind could I have been not to see these differences.

You forgot to mention the differing color options btw...

Anyway even with all those CRAZY differences you pointed out... they still seem to run against each other rather well. And stop quoting numbers from a spec sheet and instead look at the driving dynamics. I swear, spec sheet racing is worse than the butt dyno.

Either way... my point still stands... they are both worth the money, they both cost in the same area, and they both produce performance which would make them rivals. This gets back to what I said about people being butt hurt that the mustang is even considered a competitor... Get out from under the rock and stop living off the cool-aid.

Its not a bad thing to say a Z is comparable with 100 less hp...

Among reading this forum, and mustang forum comments. You all wanna know what the biggest reason I see people buying one or the other?

1. There aren't a billion Z's out there.
2. Mustangs have a great bang for the buck in modding.
2. People want a muscle car looking car
3. People want a sports car looking car.

Who needs to be able to out run another car, really? I mean, come on.

NOTE: I am aware of the sarcasm around this convo...

Ironically as much as I am not a fan of Subi's or Toyota's... I freaking love the BRZ/FR-S.

It's a nice light car, has a lot of potential, and with a nice turbo could make some impressive numbers I think.

I compare it to a hard top Miata... and those things hold their own. I do think in 5-10 years they will be lill monsters at HDPE events.

I mean... comon!

And its not about how fast a car can get you around... its how fast you can get the car around... :driving: Once you figure that out, you appreciate other cars a lot more.

But then again, this is coming from a guy who would like to drop Coilovers and a 5.0 into an old Mercury Zephyr station wagon... and *attempt* to troll around the track :icon17:

StangerGT 05-29-2013 04:22 PM

I love watching shitty cars go fast...

SS_Firehawk 05-29-2013 05:19 PM

Kool-Aid... With a "K" :)

Extra sugar.

JungleZ 05-29-2013 05:24 PM

You guys ever hear s2000 owners argue that it's better than brz. Awesome debate comparison right there.
