I actually quite like the red. Maybe it's my inner ricer speaking. The red does need something to tie it together though. Red calipers would be a good start. I

I actually quite like the red. Maybe it's my inner ricer speaking. The red does need something to tie it together though. Red calipers would be a good start. I would also recommend painting the door handles to match the body so it doesn't stand out so much and ruin the look. Gloss red vinyl will probably get you closest to what you want.
The look you're describing isn't high-end per se. The best I could describe it would be something of a design element to give the car a bit more character. Some people will get it, some won't.
