Impoet cars are best period. There is no arguement possiable there. Foriegn companies have pride and purpose. Everything on our car is there for a purpose. So be it a screw, bracket, or what not. Domestic cars are not build with the same standereds. More thrown together if I might say. Ask any bodyshop guy.

Plus domestic guys, especially the classics have no respect for the overall culture. They feel there the original and only pure car hobbiest.
I don't buy that at all. Especially the last part.

Sure, there are muscle car fanboys, but if you go to any classic shows you find plenty of guys that appreciate EVERYTHING. I dare say the vast majority are genuine "car guys."

Be sure to get up at Zdayz?

I've seen and actually experience plenty of these mishaps face to face and lead to great arguments. It's left a sour taste with me and I haven't come to over look it.

This should be the first thing you read when you come into the370z.com. I could've not said it any better myself.

I dig the history of the Z, but there's definitely some breaks between the modern Z and the older ones.

Many folks hold that the break comes with the Hiratsuka move.

I feel like like the big break came when they dropped the L series. The 370Z pays great visual homage to the history, but there's very little connection to the Z's of old.

I'm unlikely to purchase another modern Z, but I will always be waiting for the right Datsun to pop up....and if Nissan ever goes back to it's roots and gives us a screamer again, I will be first in line, much to the chagrin of my wallet.

To answer the question, I don't really regret my Z purchase, but it definitely soured Nissan in my mind. The support I got wasn't as bad as DE's, but it certainly did not meet expectations for reliability, but more importantly for support.

I learned a lot through the process about how dealerships that take great care of you through little issues all of a sudden become terrible to work with and can't take the time to call you back, and NNA takes their time to resolve anything. I can only hope for the rest of you guys here to never have to deal with a serious issue on the car.

At the end of the day, though, I had a good time with the car. It's a looker and gets a lot of attention (more than I'd like, to be honest), and especially after getting some weight off the front and real tires onboard, it was a blast to drive. I'd never buy one again, but I'd also not go back and change my decision to purchase. I might have kept it a little longer if it had been trouble-free, but who knows.

Sorry, no regrets here. I've traded a Jeep SRT8 and even though I miss it, I'm still happy with my "Z".

You only regret something if it's not what you wanted in the first place. I don't regret buying a Z at all. I would have regreted buying a more practical car, like a sedan, if I listened to what others told me.

Everyone and their mom was telling me not to get a Z. That I should get something more practical. That it's too much money. Now I have the Z and people are always fighting for shotgun

I love my Z and have no regrets buying it. But, I am car bi-polar and already can't wait for the next car. I've had my Z for a year and a half now and thats already more time than the last 5 vehices i've owned. I don't blame the Z for it more than I blame myself.

Of course, If I can throw two turbo's on it after my wedding, I'm sure my concentraction will shift back to the Z.

I post because I'm curious.

And I understand what you mean Cmike2780, BUT I didn't regret it when I bought it, and there aren't many reasons to need TWO ISF's, LOL!

I regret it now because of ALLLLLLL the problems I have and the shitty dealershits and NNA being LAZY...
My car has TURNED OFF while driving TWICE... TURNED OFF, had gas both times... I called corporate stating that this is a HUGE safety issue and I shouldn't be driving my car around... They said well, if you feel it's unsafe don't drive it...
Noooooo... This is my car that I PAID FOR... I need it to drive around, I didn't buy my car to look at or drive only on the weekends... No local dealers have open appointments and the 2 dealers they told me to go to have been booked for a solid week...
When I asked about getting a rental anyways the response I got was, Nissan only pays for 5 days of a rental except if it's special circumstances...
Somehow car turning off on a road where cars are going 60MPH and my car not starting isn't a good enough reason...

I just realized NNA was supposed to call me yesterday to follow up... They haven't

i know this kinda off topic, but have you tried taking your Z to fontana nissan? one of the better if not the best dealerships as far as getting stuff fixed and in a hurry under warranty without the drama. i know its probably a good ways from you, but couldnt hurt to try.
