Not the most stupid and quite the contrary, two comments by the dealer:

"It's free, you can have it" --- after I asked for 5 oil drain plug gaskets at the parts counter. At Summit Racing, they cost $5.25 (clue - don't buy from them).

the other, "Nice Z" ---- I'm sure they say this to all owners.

Have a great weekend.

I got asked THREE TIMES if I wrapped or painted my car...
I told them it's stock... One of the sales guys who worked at Nissan for 3 years thought I was lying...

LOL. When they saw the blue Z, they knew they had to mess around with you. you're in their computer in the notes section. Every dealer punches your name in the system and they say, Oh, it's this guy.

That is possible. It wasn't Fontana though.

When I go to Fontana like 5 of the guys come out and "awwww, what happened?"... "Nothing, oil change," lol

Those guys love... I think... Love me there, and I try to be good to them, bring donuts and stuff.
I can literally tell who is new because the guys who have been there for 6+ months ask "What is it in for NOW?" vs "What are you bringing your car in for?"

Exactly. My room mate works for Toyota and he'll rattle off all the BS stuff that comes in the Camry and Corolla, and the IS/GS350 but can't tell you anything about the Lexus LFA

Anyway, I came across this ad online. At first just wanted to check out what the car looks like, BUT...

I don't understand...what's your point here?

Went to Regal Nissan the other day to grab some spare touch up paint. I pull in and a younger salesman came up and told me he just had to talk to me because of the car. Apparently most of the guys have never seen the SR Nismo. He asked about my exhaust and other mods.

I knew they had a brand new white 2014 Nismo on sale but he said it just sold that morning. I walk up to a group of salesmen just standing around. I asked if they had any Nismos for sale. They just kind of stared at me. "Yeah...there is one back there, silver." Oh is it a 2014?? "Yep". So dismissive. Turns out it was a silver 2013. A customer was checking it out and we started chatting. "The 2014 model is amazing". Yeah this isn't a 2014... "Well that's what the salesmen told me". No its a 2013 trust me. A 2014 has blah blah blah. "No I'm pretty sure this is a 2014 just a different edition". I quit and walked off.

I received a call from on of those 800 number yesterday, it was a female from Nissan, wanting to know why I had not had my Nismo serviced yet, it is 10 months old. I told her that it only had 1100 miles on it, not time for an oil change yet, and she suggested that I at least bring it to my local dealership and have them rotate the tires! I told her they could not be rotated, and I dont think she ever understood why even after I hung up on her !

The transmission is now integrated within the engine block, which is where the extra two cylinders come from

One of my favorites was when I was negotiating a deal for my CY 370Z. The 2 salesman I was sitting down with both asked me if I knew what was the name of the yellow. They said no one at the dealership knew but guessed it might be Canary or Lemon. I knew that it was Chicane Yellow. They were all so amazed I knew it. I'm amazed that nobody THERE knew it! Care to add your favorite?

"I never said that. I would never advise non-Nissan parts on a new Nissan vehicle!"--Same service manager.

That dealership would have a lot of sweet gas in their new cars the following morning if anyone would pull that with me.
