In my case the learning curve with my right foot was substantially shorter than it has been with my left foot. I've tried it out recently a few times just to try it, but I don't see myself ever using it in daily or track driving.

Yup, second nature. I realized this morning I was trail braking with my left foot on an off ramp... in my AT Ranger LOL!

ever since i got a herniated disc, it has been uncomfortable to drive my truck with my right foot... so i drive with my left foot with no problems. When im in the Z though, I have to use both feet (6MT)

I can see and understand both sides of the story...

I'm 100% sure that a driver with a foot on each pedal can hit the brake faster than me using only one foot for both pedals

I am also 100% sure that anyone who decides to use 2 pedals can gain enough finesse to brake without looking like a retard (AKA me)

Problem is, I'm 90% sure that (god forbid) anyone who is going to get into an accident and isn't drunk is also going to clench up like a motherf*****, and slam their feet to the ground (I know I did when I got into my accident [other driver's failt])... And since both feet are on each of the pedals, they're a bit more screwed

Again, I'd give it a go just for shitz n giggles, but I just physically can't in the Z, and in my Maxima the pedals are too close as well... (Size 15 shoes)
And since the pedals are severely biased to left, I feel like an ásshole and really uncomfortable half turned in the seat to make it work (maybe that's just me)

Maybe if the pedals were further apart it would be a viable solution... But in day to day driving where there are accidents and we aren't all F1 or professional carting drivers, I think it's a TAD less safe...

Driving with both feet in an automatic????? Always been one of my huge pet peeves I have towards other drivers. You can tell they're driving with both feet because their brake lights are on and off for miles going the same speed. Worse at night! Almost as bad as someone leaving their blinker on! Annoys the hell out of me!

That's like saying: "All ppl that drive yellow cars ((insert random behavior here)) and annoy the Hell outta me." You would have fit right in, here in the Deep South, back in the '60s.

I drive with two feet and don't push on the pedal until I need to brake. No flashing on/off or staying on for miles. Some ppl who use two feet may ride the pedal but not all of us do.

Never said ALL ppl who drive with 2 feet have one foot on the brake. I'm sure most don't (I commend you) but it's easily recognizable when someone does drive with 2 when the brake light stays on for miles. Also, I don't know how the "Deep South" views things but I judge on behavior, not looks. I realize yellow is personal preference while there are many negatives about driving with the brake on such as provoking a rear end crash!

I never heard of anyone using both feet on an auto, and usually there brake lights give it away so I just pass them.

It may not have been what you meant to say, but "they" is all-inclusive, referring to those "Driving with both feet in an automatic" or, possibly, but not likely, "other drivers". There is nothing preceding the "they" to indicate that you may have meant "drivers who ride the brake pedal."

There's a difference between doing something and doing something improperly. You can't say driving with 2 feet is bad based on someone doing it wrong. As we all know, a majority of the drivers on public roads suck at driving whether its with 2 feet or just 1.

Ugh, saw one of these this morning in a Frontier. All the way up the on ramp and it continued 5mi down the freeway until I passed - just brake lights on the entire time, yet we're cruising at 75mph.

One of my favourite tricks when I have someone tailing me is to use my left foot to light up the brake lights and make it look like I'm braking as I accelerate away.
Instant gap as they react to the brake lights!

Not to be confused with "brake checking" where you actually brake and risk being rear ended. That's just dumb.
