Those lights are amazingly bright. When I lived in Phoenix the ex-wife and I took the jeep (without the top on) out looking for an ATM at 1 am. We passed one on the left so I turned into a blockbuster's parking lot and turned back onto a side street to go back to it. The next thing we know it was just like you said, I thought we were getting abducted, the whole area just lit up like it was daytime and absolutely felt/looked like you see on tv when the beam from the ship comes down lol. Out of no where 5 cruisers fly up with lights going and even more spotlights shining on us. I nearly shat my pants. Come to find out the blockbuster happened to be robbed a few minutes before we turned into the lot and we happened to be leaving the scene when they rolled up on us lol. After a quick look in the jeep and normal license/registration we were on our way but that was really scary at the time.
