last I saw, most savings accounts are paying less than .1%, so it really doesn't hurt anything to lend it to the government for nothing. On lets say a $5000

last I saw, most savings accounts are paying less than .1%, so it really doesn't hurt anything to lend it to the government for nothing. On lets say a $5000 refund, you might be loaning the gov't five bucks.

But Mike, just because savings interests are 0.1%, it doesn't mean you are loaning the govn't $5. it's still $5000, just losing $5 savings opportunity.

it always feels nice to get something back either way.
