I don't know about you guys but my oil change is ~$20. This is at the dealer and they use the Kendall brand. Not all dealers have same prices though.

sometimes it isnt worth it to do things yourself, its cheaper when you have free time but when you dont, its inconvenient and sometimes a hassle if you're tired from working all day, or just dealing with life there are things i would change regardless if i had time or not like check fluids, change wipers, ect. because it takes like 10 mins at most to complete those tasks, but i would never change oil, change brakes, change transmission fluid, ect. if i didnt have like a whole day off or something to complete those tasks because those take a while to complete mine needed new wipers at 15k, but i bought Bosch wipers at my local auto store and changed them in the parking lot, i would never have the dealer change them though unless the labor was free and i was already at the dealer buying the wipers and the tech was going to change it right then and there so i can leave |

I think it depends how anal you are... Personally I coat my windshield in Rain-X, and I don't use my wipers in the rain really... BUT I use them every day to get dust off (I am VERY anal about that) An I get new wipers every year or so, sometimes sooner |

Hehe, I was gonna say your dealer is priced pretty good for a 15k service. My local dealer told me $490. Reason I probably won't go to the stealer. That includes rotating and balancing the tires. Ester oil change is $80 here as well.

Sure, want to come in and specify your own maintenance service? Of course, you can do whatever you'd like, we just stick to what Nissan suggests ![]()

I really didn't want to bash on you guys, but yeah, if someone wants exactly what the dealer does, your price is better than theirs And I'd rather support a forum sponsor over a dealershit |

And if you're being taken to the cleaners getting quoted for $600... What I said should be $300-400 at the dealer, and that's not a good deal, but you get peace of mind of the dealer I guess Again, I did a GTR fluid flush at 20k miles and a PS fluid flush for $140 all said and done because I felt it needed the change |

wow, didn't mean to start a mild firestorm but me I have no mechanical talent at all so I'm your techno-nerd but I can't turn a wrench for crap. As an example just this weekend I simply wanted to change the interior dome lights to those light blue super bright LED's. Got the covers off, pulled out the old bulbs, put in the new one's and guess what, right comes on with power on and goes off with power off, left stays on all the time. So I go OK, I'll put the original dumb ones back and guess what now left one won't come at all but the right one works as expected so the one little tiny thing I decide to do I can't even do correctly so when it comes to car I must maintain a hands-off policy.
and as we talked about Khoi I will be having the future service at the AAM shop as I didn't do the 15K because I had already scheduled the appointment with the dealer so I knew I was going to be charged higher but was willing to absorb it for one time. I think you're quote was around $150 cheaper in price. so, if anyone was wondering why I don't do my own stuff on the car hopefully that explains it, I love cars but no talent to work on them, pretty simple.
