Default I think I'm Shifting Wrong

I have only been driving Manual for the past 6 months, I had never drove manual before and so far I felt I was doing great. But my car was in the shop for over a week and I just got it back 2 days ago. Today while driving the car I tried to go fast, but while shifting gears the car traction symbol turns on, the yellow car with the lines behind it.

What could I be doing wrong?

The wheel speed sensors are reacting to a slight wheel spin issue. Which in turn sets off the electronic nanny (VDC). Normal. If you don't want to see that light, turn the VDC off. You're not doing anything wrong.

So technically if you would have done whatever it was that you were doing with vdc off. You would have broke traction.

I managed this going 4th-5th the other day.

Not sure I've ever done that in any car.

Is your style of driving different now? Is this new since it came out of the shop?
