Just happened to my 09 base. Luckily fixed under an extended warranty that I have, car has 66000 miles on it. Does anyone know if this is likely to break again, now that the SLU has been replaced???

There are a revision A,B,C,D and all of them have failed, the best you can have is a "D" lock

Contacted NHTSA, Emailed Nissan USA. Someone called back. Escalated. no action. Sent second e-mail. Individual called back to say they had just received both e-mails. Would look into it and get back to me. A week later he got back to me. He was going to take it upstairs and get back to me in a week. Since then, approximately 2 1/2 weeks nothing. I have called and left messages but nothing. Today I received a survey from Nissan USA. They won't like my answers. Keep calling NISSAN USA, blast them with E-mails. Be polite. How about a nice story for Car and Driver, Road & Track etc.

Subscribed. My car is in the shop currently after having it towed on Saturday. $1428 total repair cost. I've opened a case with Nissan and I'm supposed to hear back from them tomorrow. 2009 48k miles no warranty.

Has anyone successfully gotten it repaired?

Also if anyone wants, my number is 352-213-5309 for anyone that might want to share experience or progress.

Should someone tell him not to be freaked when the car takes a few seconds to turn on now?

That doesn't happen to everyone plus it has not been proven that this is the cause of it.

The only contact info I see is on this page. What to make sure I'm contacting the right place to get things to work out the best. What phone number and email address did you use?

All, my light goes on and off sporadically. I will be driving and it comes on then it goes off by the time I am ready to park. Other times it will be turned on before i start the engine and the engine will still start up. It seems like this is a strange situation when I read everyone else's exp. Could anyone help clarify if this is something I should bring to the dealer? The light going off and on is annoying to begin with so I might make a call either way.

2010 27k Miles.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Which light is going on and off?

It may just be a low battery in the fob.
