I dont mean to thread jack threads but if helps at least one person out with any time of car, ill be happy. The picture i posted had brand new oil put into it 2 weeks prior (about 500-600kms) and look at it now. Now yes that was caused by a tow truck towing my car wrong but if people neglect their drivetrain, this **** will happen as well.

Which reminds me. Dont forgot to change spark plugs and gap them. Or this could happen (just finished pulling my friends engine due to a faulty spark plug)

Are you suggesting that the thrown rod was because of a faulty spark plug? Or that we need to change transmission or differential oil every 500 miles?

Really?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm certainly no expert, but can't visualize how a bad plug could cause that much damage to a passenger engine - unless part of the plug fell into the cylinder. Can someone enlighten us?
