Just a friendly reminder to check your oil!

I know oil consumption threads are all over this forum, its actually what saved me from what would have been a big mess. I am getting towards my first (although the previous owner had the a few oil changes done) and figured it was a bit since I checked my oil. My other vehicles had all been diesel trucks which unless your leaking oil it is very rare to have to add oil between changes.

Anyways reading through a few of the oil posts I figured it would be a good idea to check the oil. Sure enough it was right at the very bottom of the dipstick, thank god it was still on it. I added about 1 1/4 quarts to it and it will be getting changed here right away (just before I park it for the winter).

Had a good scare this weekend, and now I am going to religiously check it at every fill up. If you haven't checked your oil in the last 500 miles I suggest you do it.

I believe recommended is Esther oil, but a good Synthetic oil will do like Redline or Mobil 1.

:happydance: I dont mean to thread jack threads but if helps at least one person out with any time of car, ill be happy. The picture i posted had brand new oil put into it 2 weeks prior (about 500-600kms) and look at it now. Now yes that was caused by a tow truck towing my car wrong but if people neglect their drivetrain, this **** will happen as well.

Which reminds me. Dont forgot to change spark plugs and gap them. Or this could happen (just finished pulling my friends engine due to a faulty spark plug)
