I once did whatever one handed: 12 6, 10. Rarely two hands. I was famous for driving with my knee while taking mild turns, which I learned from my dad. My father would be considered a bad influence today. Boy I miss him.
I made myself drive at 9 and 3 and now it is a habbit that is hard to break. If I do it is one hand at nine. The reason is to know where your wheels are pointing when you come off the track or road. Trying to guess in the moment can be fatal. |

I was taught 9 and 3 by driving instructors in a special driving class. Also gives you the widest turning radius without letting your hands off the wheel. We we learning in automatic of course for aggressive driving. Serpentine, slalom, etc.
