Not sure about limiters on the Z's in Argentina, but up here they are limited to 155 MPH, I believe. Bolt-ons, like exhaust and intakes will give you more power and should push your car even further, but again, not sure if they put a limiter on your Z. Find and try a down hill straight-away and report back.

Havent pushed the car to the limter yet but got it to 220kmh and got my ZX6R up to 299kmh when it had its limiter, havent tested it since i took it off.
only 1049km on the car, not even break in period and you are doing that

Top speed is kind of a useless concept since it's not real-world tangible in the majority of situations. Unless you're on the Nurburgring, there is no way you're going to hit 160mph on a track in a Z. Obviously you shouldn't be doing this on public streets unless you have a suicidal/homocidal wish.

I wonder how fast a 370Z is at Road America between turns 3 and 5? Last edited by autopc25; 06-15-2010 at 10:26 AM. |

I just recently hit a speed that I never thought I would of... Will never do it again but it was a rush. I told a few people and they just looked at me like I was crazy.. Maybe I am? I pushed it hard and it wasn't done. I was VERY impressed with its stability.
I had a brand new M3 in front of me who said he hit 156. It was the funnest few moments I have had with this car as well as the stupidest thing I have done, in my life, lol. Conditions were as optimal as they could possibly of been on the street.

Terminal speed before going for the brakes for T1 over 233kph (thats 145mph) at the end of the straight at Philip Island GP Circuit - you enter the straight in 5th gear (6MT) at around 5200rpm.
See the vid @ YouTube - Nissan 370Z at Philip Island R2.avi as we play with some 300ZX TT. The first time down the straight is about 1m10s into the vid and ~2mins each lap thereafter - this is the responsioble way to enjoy your Z "at speed" ..... I also have some video to load up of my Sports Race Car which has a terminal speed of 268kph at the same location - this is a 970kg dedicated race car fitted with 400hp aluminium V8, quad throttle bodies, open exhaust system, fat wheels on slick race rubber etc RB Last edited by BGTV8; 06-15-2010 at 04:32 AM. |
