Maybe I should have done more research or whatever when deciding to go with a Z, but... A lot of stuff those articles say I really don't care much about.

When I went shopping for a car I test drove a bunch.. went to a Nissan dealer and tried a Z fully expecting not to like it. Now I'm buying one. =] -n |

Guys and Gals! Don't put too much credence here. It is an editorial from msn who did not even have the ballz to put a credible journalist. Who wrote it? A freelance contributor!!!!
Matthew de Paula wanted to be an automotive journalist ever since reading his first car magazine in grade school. After a brief stint writing about finance, he helped launch ForbesAutos.com and became the site’s editor in 2006. Matthew now freelances for various outlets. Matthew -- I'll race you with my stock Z and I'm sure my Z bro's in this forum would not hesitate to take my spot just to get a pc of you. But were not that brutal. How about a simple race AND bench presses. Writing about cars is different if you actually had the background in automotive technology or actually driving cars and testing them for a living. Common MSN, get your shyts together and get real with your articles instead of putting some guy to fill your web pages. ForbesAutos.com no longer exist FOR A REASON!!!! Bad Editorials, Contributors, and Journalists. |

This summer wwhen Chicago had 105/110 days I Would drive for an hour mixed highway and off highway and would never see the temps past 225 on my 2010. The only Time it goes to 240/250 is when doing prolonged spirited runs holding Rpm past 5kSent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2

just seems strange there is such a large variance. All I hope with these types of reviews is that it doesn't hurt the value if our cars. We as mostly happy owners Don't care for reviews anymore and "smart" shoppers don't just read reviews but research and ask questions on forums like this one. I'm a late bloomer to this article but this is laughable. Has anyone had a steering lock, oil consumption issue since 2010. I'm on 2 Z34's and a G37s... non have had an issue. The whole C&D thing... I think is a bad reflection of the magazine and not the car.
Fuel starve to me is something of concern till this day. the Z manual transmission seems to be extremely quirky and not the best feeling. But the Z auto and Z manual should be judged differently as well... More auto's seem to run a little bit cooler, have slightly lower NVH, are more reliable, and obviously faster. I'm sure this offsets some of the issues that are found in the manual. Either way, The Z is still far from a junk car and most unreliable Z's have been found on stock street Z's being tracked. Though this car is track-able with mild mods. without those mods, on a track it may not belong? Depending on who's driving. If you're going to track the car. add the right tid-bits it needs. Otherwise, the Z is very reliable as an aggressive street car. PERIOD. There's better cars out there but for the money, the Z doesn't do too shabby. Just like the 90's imports. People won't appreciate these cars till they are gone. the Z is still 1. The fastest NA-v6 under 40k (quarter mi. 13.1-13.4sec) 2. Has the most grip/widest tire under 40k (.99-1.01g) 3. Most powerful 2 seater under 40k (332/350hp) 4. Near-perfect 100.4" wheelbase & 53/47% weight dist. 5. Under 3300lbs in base guise pre-2012. under 3400lbs post 2012 6. Only car to have proprietary and popular SRM feature on a manual. 7. Fastest 60-0 braking with sport pkg. 102ft The Z is no BRZ in weight but the next lightest v6 is the gencoupe and then the mustang. The gencoupe 2.0, which is a 4 banger still is heavier than a Z @ 3400lbs and the mustang v6 3500lbs. Why isn't all of this mentioned in magazines? CORPORATE POLITICS!!! |
