Painted the top of my oil dipstick red. Looks better than the bright yellow.

Drove my baby to the local Nissan dealer. Tim Bell of Tim Bell racing was there with his 2 370z race cars. He let me hop in :D Climbing into a car with a roll cage is quite the challenge.

Reserved my room for ZDayZ 2015! They are already all gone according to the online hotel calendar.

Today was the first day anyone who didn't attend ZDayZ 2014 could make a reservation. Once you are in, you have the option to reserve your same room the next year for up to a week after checkout.

Installed a wistler pro 3600 remote radar detector with an additional rear facing antenna. I know it's not top of the line, but my middle end detectors plus attentive driving have kept me ticket free for the last 20 years. Used the front bumper removal diy to get me started. Thanks 370z.com

I spent 8-10 hours installing the pro-3600 on Saturday 05/24 and today I spent 4 hours uninstalling it. Why do I have the worst luck?

After install I drove around for a couple of days and did seem to be getting a high number of false alerts. I figured I would drive for a while and just fine tune the filter settings to my liking. Today I go to take a drive to see how the unit is responding and I get the "Please check Radar 1 communications lines" warning. Double checked all the connections and everything is fine. I am pissed, not so much at Whistler, I understand sometimes products fail. It is just that I spent so much time and effort installing everything including removing my bumper and numerous panels to hide the wires for a nice clean install. I am just not going to take a chance on doing all this work to remove and then re-install a replacement, just to have it possibly fail again. This one is going back to Amazon. I'll stick with my old whistler window mount for now and save up for a Bel or Escort remote install model. Man I did love the look of the remote install, I had the display mounted to the top of my rear-view mirror, pretty much invisible to all but me.

Will this offer brighten your day and make your pains ease away a little bit?
I have a bel STi Driver (from around 2008) that I can send you for free. I have been looking for it to go to a good home.
It has an extra rear view mirror mount that was for a 350z...not sure if the stalk diameter is the same or not though for the 370z. It is yours if you would like on the condition you do something nice for someone else when the time arises. Fair deal?
pretty much looks like this with an added external speaker and direct wiring cable.
