This is a ******* disgusting question that I never thought I'd have to ask. I was just driving home and a roach came out of somewhere and was on my dash. Not a tiny roach, a ******* teenage flying roach! I had to stop on the highway immediately before I freaked out and caused a wreck. What can I do to clean my entire vehicle, take apart the dash? I've never seen anything in my car and while I have eaten in my car, I make it a point to vacuum and clean as best as I can.

Excuse me while I go shower.

Haha probably got in from a time you had a window down. Or maybe you freaked out and it is really a June Bug.

Awesome, so it's gone! Once a guy loaned me his VCR, I carried it home in my car, when I took it out of the trunk roaches ran everywhere! It was FULL of the small ones. I had them running around in my beater for months...My wife wouldn't ride with me.....

I have no idea if I can use one or not. I've got two in my home that haven't needed to be used since 2007.

yah, im not sure if i want that fog soaking up on the seats and carpet...then possibly discoloring the dash and panels... be a mess to clean the inside glass too. :eekdance:

i think your best bet is to pray that it was an isolated case. :ugh:
i would definitely check the cabin filter area and maybe use some non-smelling bug spray in there.

kenchan 05-28-2014 01:42 PM

maybe some boric acid?

http://www.amazon.com/Boric-Acid-Roa...rds=ant+powder

i use this stuff on the exterior of the house sometimes to rid ants and earwigs :eekdance:

You're in Texas. Stuff occurs. Be thankful that it wasn't a wasp or a snake and move on.

Yes, one of my wife's co-workers (maybe former co-worker) found a water moccasin inside her car a year or two back. That would qualify as a serious problem in my ratings.

Best of luck finding no more critters. Seriously, I wouldn't worry about more until you see more than that one.

There was a huge A55 spider in one of the vans at my old job. It crawled up into the dash and no one wanted that one as there take home car. I lost straw pull and bug bombed that b b4 I took it home. I had to leave the windows down in it for almost a week to get the smell out. That included driving it with the windows down. I'm sure your fine and like AZ the bigs ones just find themselves flying and landing in places. Far different than when living in the Midwest, where if u find a roach it means u have thousands of them and an infestation. So don't worry your good

no engine pics???

It looked the same lol. The engine cover was removed so the intake manifold was exposed. The intakes had this yellow-ish paper wrapped around, I'm assuming to block the engine heat. The transmission was stock too, so they go through a new tranny about every 2 races.

For those with fabric interior, What do you guys/gals use to clean the door panel fabric section?
