Will these tubes and filter get in the way of any future modifications, such as an oil cooler? |

is it okay for the tubes to be connected like that? i would rather give the tubes some freedom (separate) as it's not like they dont vibrate. you got folks severing that plastic elbow using the gen3... that's a lot of movement. |
i would just do the post-maf tubes and k&n drop ins.... no fuss
|
We installed my Stillen Gen 3's without any issues. Opening up the holes in which the tubes pass was very easy. We also took some sections of subbed heater hose, slit them and then installed around the openings for little cushions. The tubes rest nicely ion their little pillows.

for me, i didnt feel like messing with the issues so did the post-maf and drop ins. it breaths better than stock near redline so im happy. my car use to feel like it was gasping for air up top using stock intake. i dont race my car so this is a simple worry-free setup for me. :D |

I went with z1 tubes and dry filters. couldn't be happier!

K&N are great filters. I have been using them on all of my cars since I can't remember when.
People who complain about them are those who do not know how to clean and then properly oil them as to not contaminate the MAFs. Also, regular MAF cleaning is a gogd thing to do as well -- using CRC MAF cleaner. |
Had 2 days to myself for the first time in months, dropping in a Kenwood DnX9900HD HU, Focal components and midrange speakers for the rear. Already did a stitch change to red and installing a set of Nismo seats. Finally the interior will be the way I like it. Next is either suspension and brakes or the Nismo front fascia and skirts. So far enjoying working on this thing.
