Ordered a new 370Z emblem after my attempt to debadge didn't go so well.
Left a mark and the sticky film residue won't come off, so I'm just going to plastidip this and gloss it, then put it back on. :( Worst decision ever to try and remove it. I tried doing it properly, it just didn't want to work with me. |

I just used fishing line. It took a couple of pieces to figure out the best methodology to keep the line from breaking. Also, you live in Phoenix - just wait until the car has been out in the hot sun for several hours and it will be super easy. For the film, you just need some rubbing alcohol (I actually used Goof Off max strength in a spray). It will definitely take some elbow grease, but it will come off eventually. |

I left my out in the hot Texas sun for a couple hours than used fishing line. Cleaned it all up with Goo gone. It took my son and I around an hour to remove, clean and install the new badges. I did end up with a blister on my finger. |

The emblem removal was probably one of the most painstaking mods. More time consuming than my Ark Grip with just two jack stands in my garage, but once I started, I knew there was no looking back. I took my time with a few breaks and a lot of patience. The emblems themselves came off rather easy after a few hours in the Texas sun. The grey leftover adhesive took at least an hour more for EACH badge, front and rear. I used the max strength goo-gone carefully to only remove the glue while being careful with the paint that would still be exposed (on top and bottom of the original NISSAN logo) with the new emblem. I dabbed a soaked paper towel with the goo-gone onto the grey leftover adhesive and slowly used both my fingertips and a small, sharp, plastic trim removal tool to work it off. Lots of paper towels, three blisters on the tips of my fingers, a drenched tshirt from lots of elbow grease and working under the Texas sun, I'm finally happy with the results. |
On my way to the track I encountered a Lotus all made up with numbers etc., so we rolled down the passenger side window to talk to the driver and he would have nothing to do with us. Fine.
I later saw him at the track and asked him if he had seen us. He said yes but thought I wanted to race him on the freeway like all those other idiots. To me this is funny. |

I may have a problem. Picked these up at $9.91 each over at SAMs when they were $22 each a few weeks ago. I....just....couldn't....help.....myself! LOL

I drove my Z for the first time in a week. Had travel to Vegas this week (boo), Caesar's could've used a few Z's parked out front, their car lineup was weak. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |
