It's the opening at the sway bars on either side. Also the kit didn't include the correct number of bolts, they shorted me three and put the plastic push buttons in place of the 3 bolts

. So, I'm having to use 3 bolts from the OEM piece to make up the difference.

PS: NO instructions with the kit either. I mean it's not Rocket Science, but where/why to use the 3 plastic push buttons instead of the bolts.....?

I ended up with a blown rear tire on Sat heading to the monthly meet.

Well, I just got confirmed that my NEW rear set of tires won't get here till Mon.

Anyway Im scaling down the rears from 305/35/19 RE11's to 285/30/19 S-04

I still have meat on the front tires to make it at least 3-6 months before I'll need to replace them.

My 2009 used no push tabs at all. 17 screws out, 17 screws in (14 screws in kit). Maybe he's banking on the later cars using push tabs, I don't know. I'm concerned about exposing the sway bar but fabricating a couple of pieces will take a while.

that's odd, my Z is a 2009 and uses tab(s).

check AK's oil change DIY thread. should show where the push tabs go.

exposed swaybar is fine, id just cover the bushings. (factory shroud only covers the bottom of the bushings btw in comparison).

My car had 3 OE 10mm bolts where AK shows the 3 push pins. Oh well, I feel better knowing there are screws there instead of push pins. I did notice that the 4 screws that hold the oil change flap down were a zinc color vs. the 13 other black screws that held the OEM piece in.
I also noticed my car is missing (never installed) the little air deflectors in front of the tires.

did you buy your car used? if so, that might explain this.

i dont run the front air deflectors forward of the tires as i run ings in my photoshop.

it's just there for fuel economy, not really needed.
