Thanks

need to find the circuit board type as well for the map light

in fact, if your car is a hobby car only driven on weekends, i recommend you guys switch to LED's for the lower power consumption while your door(s) are open.

made a huge difference on my other car which turns on 4-5 bulbs when i open the door. my battery manager showed 'charging' when i had the door open for more than a few min using stock incandescent bulbs. with LED's the battery manager remains in float mode.

:driving:That's a smart tip but mine is a DD.

JW Motorsports is where I got my interior LEDs. They are/were a forum sponsor.

Same here. I've always had great experiences with Vleds. They can be a little pricey, but their 5k bulbs are consistent, bright and pure WHITE. Unlike most other led's which are either not bright enough or are only available in 6k which I find a bit too blue for my taste.

I bought the following:

5K White 6 Led 360° (170 lumens) for the (front) parking lights.

5K White 4 Led (115 Lumens) for the dome/map and plates.

5K White 5 Led Flank (not sure how many lumens, but definitely bright enough) style for the trunk.

I've attached some photos for comparison. Parking led is with stock HID bulbs, quite similar in color temperature. Dome/map lights with GTR lens, stock bulb/lens on the left. Plates, with stock bulb on left.

BA9092 - wow those look good. I think I might be the only one that doesn't like the clear GTR style map light cover lol

Zerocool, I should've done a comparison with the new led inside the stock/frosted lens. It may have looked okay.

Although, I think it's much better than the yellow egg-yolk-inside-a-lava-lamp stock look. Lol.

I second this.

Alright, so some of you are aware of the Cayman blow hard who works in the same bldg and parks in the same lot as I do. So very recently because of the warm weather, I've noticed more nice vehicles on the highway...a very clean Maserati two days ago, an older model black Ferrari yesterday, and a nice newer Jag this morning. In each case, I assumed an ego driven acceleration by the nice car was just about to occur once my roadster was seen. In no case did this happen, in fact, the cool Maserati was the most surprising as we were by each other for a bit...just cruisin along.

So the lesson, as always...

Most Porsche owners = d-bags

Picked up the car today. Newly refinished sport wheels on with new PSS. We had the color of the wheels just a touch darker. The original finish paint here in Germany is fairly expensive so the shop did the best they could. I like it. Glad to have it all ready for summer. New oil etc! :driving:

My gf has the stock covers in her Z just with the LED. I think it looks good.

Almost wish I would have gotten my car in black but I love how the solid red turns heads, ha.
