Started new oil consumption test. 10,000 miles on new motor and still adding a couple quarts between changes.

That sucks.

Took the Z and Mrs.Force for a fall drive. Ate at a small fish and chips place that had great Halibut.

First thing first. VDC, off.

We found a cool restaurant in the middle of nowhere, too bad we found it after the Fish and Chips place. The smokers smelled awesome! Its on our to-do list next year

This is what it looks like when you fail. Hopefully third and final motor. Went by today to check it out and drop off the freshly powdercoated wheels. Now just waiting on the front upper strut bar to get finished at the powdercoaters getting some graphic work getting done. Should be getting her back Monday if they get it wrapped up along with the mechanic putting the car back together. Once at home I have to take all the wheels off and take those back to the powdercoaters to let them finish the pinstripping and lettering that needs to be done.

Read on here recently about how the driveshaft is carbon fiber. Needless to say it catches you off guard on how light it is when you pick it up. Service manger said to be sure not to drop it hard, a single chip and the driveshaft has to be replaced.

Pic of almost finished wheel. Scoped up a set of 235/35r19 and 295/30r19 V12's for $200 with only 1k in miles on them that came off a R8.

Then before I left I had to check out the GTR they just got in. Service manager mentioned it was the only 2013 Black edition that is done this amazing white pearl. Not even preordered. Sitting there in the sun outside waiting for a buyer.

One dealer came walking out on the phone talking to someone about it and describing it to them. Sounded like an interested customer.

Ouch...that is below average. :/

Japanjay 10-07-2012 01:45 PM

Yeah I was in dire need of new tires. The day prior to taking the car down to the dealership I got a cut in the shoulder. Used 2 plugs and limped it down to the dealership. would go flat in like 30 mins. Jumped on craigs at 9:45pm. Guy had posted only 45 mins prior. Freaked out and ran upstairs to grab the cell phone. Called him and appologized for a late call but wanted to make sure no one else got them. Went and picked them up the next day. Brought them home and then ran to the dealership to get the tires and wheels. Stripped the tires and then dropped off to the powdercoater for a rush 2 day job.

$200 for just slightly smaller front tires and the exact size I wanted for the rear, I couldnt pass it up.

Yeah I was loosing a quart every 1000. Dealership has been very good with the fix. Even gave me a loaner for as long as they have my car.

prochobo 10-07-2012 05:54 PM

Changed my brake fluid. Pain in the *** when you have to use the included scissor jack because you don't have a jack that's low enough.

Certainly not the only pearl white black edition 2013. There's one sitting at Sutherlin Nissan that they can't seem to sell. I told them I would trade them straight up if it makes them feel better ;)

Japanjay 10-07-2012 07:35 PM

Nice. Yeah they must have the wrong info then.
