Don't ask me for advice, I don't know how this happened... it just did.

I think I'm going to try to remove the clutch pedal helper spring today, forgot to yesterday, to see if that helps the feel of the clutch pedal.

Jar

Same issues as I had with the drivers side bulging more. And yes they make a noise when near the top.

It was completely unacceptable at first. After screwing with and cutting out some plastic bits (I understand many people would not be ok with this solution) I was able to reduce the bulging significantly. My biggest concern at first was the heat shield on my R2C intakes, but the hood still seals it just fine.

Yesterday I got stuck behind a Mustang with SVT and cobra badges but his embossed bumper said Mustang not Cobra. He was just a poser.

Today is really cold. I had frost on my roof and deck. My summer tires always make me nervous on days like today. It rained yesterday and left water on the road to turn to ice. I drove the speed limit today and I just can not believe that it it actually this slow. My only incident,if it can be called such, came as I stopped at a stop sign and I could feel a tiny loss of grip as I came to a stop in a few extra inches.

Drove home in the rain today, starting to feel like winter, snow in the mountains. My Tein S Tech springs arrived today. Can't wait to get them and the 15mm H&R spacers on!

I guess it did rain out here. Hm, didn't even realize it. Usually we don't get the weather on the West side.

I'm tempted to go out and play in the rain if it continues tomorrow... I'm close to the break-in period, I'm sure a few slides wouldn't hurt too much. :driving:

I shaved down my chin spoiler the other day - it was looking a little ragged from all the curbs I've been jumping :icon17:

Could be better :ugh2: I posted a brief review here, in the off topic thread, and in the hood strut thread. Dustin @ Z1 has already offered to send over a replacement locking pin (I think I lost one and had to fabricate my own) and has asked for pictures of the hood bulge. It was a lot worse before, but after cutting away some plastic it is better now and may be difficult to get good photos of it. :shrugs:

It's raining today so I was stuck behind another car so I worked on my line. I felt so in control at these low speeds. :icon17:

I ordered stock OEM brake pads to use in lieu of my squeeling, dust laden Carbotech XP8's. They work great but so do OEM pads off the track.

I feel like I am driving an old clunker when at low speed my brakes are making an awful noise and heads turn.

I'll mark, then reinstall, the XP's in March, when the track season begins.

Even if by some miracle and I ended up on a track, the stock pads in winter would probably suffice. Heck I ran several events (slower) with them before. I am already dreaming about going back.

Got pulled over for 57 mph in a 35 mph this morning :shakes head: It's an incredibly low speed limit for a frontage road, and there are always people driving 60 mph down it. The cop said he understood and told me he had recently looked at getting a 370Z. He then proceeded to give me a warning    :bigsighofrelief:

I have yet to experience said delay. The only delay I experience is very occasionally when I push the start button before I have the clutch pedal pushed down far enough :icon17:

My delay is intermittent but never so bad that I'm not super glad that I have that horrible, unreliable system pulled/deactivated. I just read in another thread about a guy stuck at the airport lot, in the rain, with a bad steering lock servo. He banged and kicked waiting for a flatbed to arrive then luckily he got the damn lock to kick loose. (he had a replacement later model lock in there...) What a horrible ordeal.

Some things I am disappointed about:

Horrible...
1. Oil cooler
2. Steering lock.

dissapointing...
3. road noise (I know its a sport car... but wow. loud)
4. Crappy clutch. (poor Feel, Vague or something... you all know what I mean)

All have pretty easy fixes. But Nissan has engineers who should have sorted this crap pre-delivery. Oh well. I've addressed all this stuff in my car (and more) and now I LOVE IT. Perhaps fixing the weaknesses make me even love it more.

The Z is definitely a diamond in the rough as it sits at the dealership.

Gonna go wash her up, haven't gotten the chance in about two weeks, which is a new streak for me. Hah

:iagree: It is weird, but it does start so why do we worry? Because it is worrisome.

I had an occasional delay before too, so I did not even know folks found a correlation.

Has anyone had a recurring coolant leak issue? A few months ago mine was fixed by the dealership. Today during inspection my coolant level is low and there's evidence of a leak.
