Why's that? Cops? Are you smuggling? Suspended License? Ex-wife in the passenger seat? Radio broken and stuck on a hip hop station?

No, 1200 uncomfortable miles in the Z is a little more than Id like to deal with. Me and the GF are gonna do about 900 tomorrow and spend the night in St Augustine. Then finish up the remaining 3-400 Fri morning.

That is a long-haul. On drives like that, my aged butt can do about 150 miles at a time.

Its gonna be pretty brutal. Esp cause I have to do all the driving. Rule #1 don't let girlfriend drive the Z:icon17:

That's a good rule. I offered my wife the driving experience in one of my Z's and she said no thanks -- there, I offered and do not have to do it again.

Heck no! Just use a trim removal tool, you know those plastic ones. I did it in a hot car, came right out. Just be gentle with the tool, don't use a screwdriver you might mar the softy dash material.

^ I used a screwdriver on mine and I used a soft towel to place behind the screwdriver to avoid damaging the dash. Worked really well. Just be careful. But do this only if you don't have a trim removal tool.

I watched a golf ball sized chunk of dirt/rock fall off a truck in front of me and one lane over and followed its entire flight path. It hit my hood and windshield in quick succession, scratching both

Worst part was it seemingly happened in slow motion. Now it's just another spot on the hood to avoid looking at :icon17:

well instead of f-ing up the nice dash material, I totally gouged the silver ring around the button. kinda bad. Now i'm perusing many different Nissan oem parts sites and praying that i don't have to buy that whole dash upper assembly to replace it. I am an idiot.

Installed 18" resonators. Its so quite now :( :( !!

But on the plus side it sounds better! When the pipe was really cold above 4k there was a little rasp. Also down shifting and stuff there was a gargle and now there is neither. I was going to wait to install them but I know test pipes would have only made it worse so now when I get test pipes ill be able to see if I need two more resonators installed in the TS.
