Yup. I like meaty tires.
45° stretched sidewalls are not my idea of fit or style.. To each their own tho.

why your examples so extreme? :icon17:

RoadsterST 02-26-2014 02:00 PM

Yea 45° is a little off. The factory 265's on mine were to me, way over stretched.. The factory look is what I'm not into. I like having a sidewall in my tires, plus the bigger footprint is a good thing

kenchan 02-26-2014 02:01 PM

yah, im not into stretched tires either. slight stretch is okay, but no that frikken lip exposed madness... :ugh:
and stupid arse negative camber where about 50% of the tread is off the ground. :ugh2:

RoadsterST 02-26-2014 02:02 PM

These look 100% better in person..

I turned the factory's into racing slicks in just 3 months. I'm signed up for SCCA solo in March so I needed tires to pass inspection to race.
But yes, S04's. 265 front and 305 rear

Ordered new TPMS sensors, 305 30and 255 35 Hankook's that should be in next week. My Motordyne M370 intake came earlier the week. Will be ordering Kics lug nuts for the M310's next week. Now all that has to happen is cooperative weather.

Post up how they fit! I was thinking the same thing.

It is winter here today so the car is dirty but was excited to get my wheel spacers on. No rubbing or other issues that I have seen as of yet. I am amazed how much better the car looks. The first and last pictures are 'before' picture, all of the rest are after.

I will add some 'clean' pictures when we get a break in the weather.

My white brother (who saved a parking place for me at the Pacers game a couple weeks back) is now stalking me. This was at the gym this morning.

Thanks guys!
The blue looks great under the hood. It would be kinda cool to see every Z come from the factory with a color matched engine cover but, that would cost Nissan too much $$$ :shakes head:

I played around with pasti-dip on some emblems and door handles... didn't come out that bad for a first try

oh please, its just door handles and an emblem.

I just removed the Steering Lock fuse at 10:00 pm. Cant think of a better way to spend my Saturday night than touching my baby oh so lightly. I moved her back into the garage a couple weeks ago so Ive been making excuses to touch her until its time to let her rip in April. It was very easy to do as stated in the DIY. Took less than 15m. No worries about my 2010 Roadster not starting due to lock failure now. My 2010 is not covered under the TSB according to dealer so one less thing to worry about.

Some blue silicone would dress up the engine area even more. :yum:

BTW, what paint and color did you use?

We are trying to help you. Plasti-dip is a gateway mod -- like weed is to heroin.

Plasti-dip leads to fake carbon fiber vinyl wraps.

Be thankful that we are here for you. :tiphat:

what did I do with my "Zed" today?(I'm Canadian)

Absolutely nothing. Bloody snowed again last night. I don't think this winter will ever end. I'm a new owner just had the car a couple weeks and every time it snows it is like torture.

roy'sz 03-02-2014 09:28 AM

I managed to crack a b pillar trying to 3m tape it so that it stops rattling (since I took it to the dealershit here in palmdale and they couldn't duplicate the road noise), I tripped over my jack and accidently tagged the fender with the corner of my jackstand. And discovered that my upper control arms are possibly shot. When it rains it pours.

Changed my oil yesterday in 62 degree temps and installed Z1 hood struts. Now watching freezing rain and snow cover her up.

lgarcia 03-02-2014 08:11 PM

Got the windows tinted, 35% 3M tint. Looks good on a Pearl White Z.
Just got the car on Monday... I'm reading all about mods in this forum, great stuff can be done I think
