Finally got time to wash the nearly 1400 miles of crud off since our drive to PA. Also bled the clutch. I think a new clutch master cylinder is needed :ugh:

gbrettin 05-06-2013 07:44 AM

I had my Nismo front clip repainted, obsessively washed and waxed the outside, and decided that I am going to store my Z for all future winters.

I also talked to my wife and told her that I am going to do some Auto X next year. So I need to get a new DD by the end of this year.

Ahhh.. Good Times.

dmhenderson 05-06-2013 05:12 PM

RC ducts and Stillen backing kit installed. Just a bit of paint work and I'm back on the road by Wed evening.

Dyno tune yesterday at Horsepower Solutions, changed the oil today and switched to Mobil 1 0W40. Gave it a spray wash today to tide me over until it's time to detail it!

I ordered my snow tires today since they dropped in price for next year. I'm trusting you guys with stock 18s that it will fit sport breaks lol

Did you actually search on this or ask anyone? The base wheels (18") do NOT clear the sport brakes. There are a few aftermarket 18s that will clear them, but I don't know any of them off the top of my head.

Used a hacksaw to chop the upper left corner of the Password JDM Carbon Engine Cooling Plate. It was blocking the opening to the reservior for the windshield washer fluid anyway. Not the hood sits FLUSH! So happy!

pics to follow soon...

Washed and took some pictures of my dad's 370Z yesterday. Gonna surprise him with some prints for his birthday. Hope he doesn't mind that I stole his car for the day :).

HAhaha! Modern Nissan ran out of courtesy cars again. They drove me across the street to give me a rental. I'm in a SUBUUUUUUURRRRBAN. Night and day difference. Why, I do believe I could fit 15 dead hookers in here easy.

31 if they're midgets, 12 if they're guy hookers.

/Don't worry about why I would want to stuff said dead hookers in my car. Remember, 'curiosity killed the person who asked too many questions'.

What is this? I have never been offered a "courtesy loaner" from my dealership but I hear it's a thing. I asked them about it once and was told, "not for nissans"

What did I do in my Z-replacement? I drove that SUBUUUURRRRBAN to work early. We lost a disk in the array and one in the server. The controller is crapping out, and our backups were just too much for the old server.

And, with ZDayZ around the corner, my director goes and invites my fiance and myself to dinner on the 18th. WTF? With the server in a critical status, I can't take off any days. Do I go to ZDayZ that Saturday morning for a half day? Tell the boss's boss I am sick and go to ZDayZ all Saturday?

too many difficult decisions!

You had to go to work early because you lost a single disk in an array? No hotspares ftw?

Small array? :)

I would have told him immediately that I already had plans to be out of town. If the server status affects your vacation time, then you may be screwed either way. But to me, the hardest decision is how to tell your boss you won't be doing anything with him or work this weekend. ZDayZ no question :driving:

We have a small, 3-drive RAID 5 and keep a spare drive on hand  I can't wait until these prone-to-fail-spectacularly mechanical hard drives have gone the way of the dodo :hello: I want a 5 TB SSD :icon17:
