Had my 2DIN installed and radar detector hardwired.

*Don't mind the finger prints, please. This was right after they installed it for me.*

Took my Z for a last drive...a drive to storage. She also got her last wash as well as oil change for the season. :(

She will be missed until next year. Barely put 1K miles this summer. Hopefully I can put more on her next season.

TheGreatOne 11-12-2013 09:45 AM

Nothing except look at it :(

First signs of snow today, granted it won't stick but I guess the season is over so most likely storage this weekend or early next week. Hopefully one more ride or two this week though.

I cheated on my Z last weekend while in Vegas...drove a Ferrari 458 Italia and Lamborghini Gallardo LP560, both beasts....wow. But funny enough, coming back to my Z a few days later, still very enjoyable!

cool. that's the cover i use on my G.

the poke in the eye for some folks is that i only use it inside my garage. :p

Picked up my sweet Z from the body shop after getting the lip re-worked. I'm much happier with it now.

I removed the blue that was on the lower section of the center piece and had the center and OEM fangs somewhat conjoined (if you will)

Yesterday, I ordered Aerojacket's SS CF hood with splitters.

Today, I received my final payment notice for my F14s. Paid that and they are ready to ship!

I like how you painted the black trim piece at the top as well really makes the difference for me. First time I've seen this part painted along with the fangs and it looks good!

Z spent last night in the garage for the first time in over a week :shakes head:

Then she throws a P050E code this morning - Cold Start Control. Any thoughts on this one? It got cold last night (relative to Texas - low 30s), so I'm wondering if that's the reason and whether the code would go away when it warms up later this week (supposed to be highs in the 60s tomorrow and 70s on Fri). It also seems relevant that I got an Ecutek tune this summer, but I'm not positive they're related.

Drove to the eye doctor and the receptionist a middle aged women asked me if my car was a GTR. I kindly told her it was a 370z the GTR's baby brother. She was in complete awe of the Z and would not stop talking to me about it lol.

If you had a portable heater do you suppose you could heat up your garage a bit? Good luck anyway.

Considering I live in Texas, that's a big IF... I don't have one :icon17:

I'm hoping it will clear itself after a few drive cycles. We'll just wait and see

Lets just say I purchased a new 2013 Nismo a week ago and she is currently in the garage getting a full make over...

Yea mine failed at the 1/4 track doing the TT testing.. However I am kind of glad they did then because it was only a matter of time. Also it will be nice to not have to worry about wheel hop as much.

Nah, I fell under the mystical spell that since I'm going to have everything apart with new swaybars, camber arms and coilovers, now would be as good as time as any to kill a couple of birds with one stone.. :icon17:

Not the Z, but got my wheels back from sandblasting and powdercoating. Just waiting on tubes to come in, then getting these suckers mounted (took me about 3 days to find a place near me to balance spline-drive wire wheels).

I think I'm going to end up plastidipping my handles and emblems (maybe).

Thought about the roof too, or just wrapping the roof.

Yup.. Emblems and handles are also in process... So much on her list right now. Luckily I have a great garage right by my work that I love and they just work on her while I am at work.

Oh I get it. In Texas heaters are so big, they don't fit indoors. :icon17:

I hope it clears itself too.

Highly advise against plastidipping anything with high wear and tear like the door handles. It will peel and fade and not look good. You will very likely not be happy with the results. I do recommend getting the handles professionally painted so that it lasts and looks good for the life of the car.

Hmm.

Having them painted is a bit of a cost though too.

I also do like the idea of being able to remove it should I no longer want it that color.
