No, it's the steering wheel lock issue. I got the steering wheel unlocked, but the anti theft part killed all power to the car. Tow guys are coming. May as well get my brakes done too while I'm there. Fml! That money was to see the niners play the Seahawks in Dec!

Steering lock issue is a recall. Should be covered by the dealer whether you are in warranty or not.

Haha I'm tired of the north and its cold winters. I'm ready for the west coast! Wife doesn't see it the same way :(

I put the Z away a little earlier than anticipated but I'm pretty busy the next few weekends plus the wife was out of town this weekend so I got some good car wrenching time in.

osbornsm 11-04-2013 08:26 AM

Winterized the Z this Saturday...

Swapped out Sport-Package 19's for
- OEM 18's w/ Blizzaks
Wrapped 25-row oil cooler with header wrap
Changed 2-piece rotors to OEM ones cuz of salt

Just so anyone who's interested, I will be posting it on the forums later today for sale, just need to get some pics. It's the S-Tune Front Lip - black Metallic, Good to Moderately good condition. We spent the day at Coffee and Cars on Saturday, and GF drove the twisty's for a cruise to lunch right after. Beautiful Day beautiful ride. God we love this car.

Winter wheels/tires went on(Sports with Blizzaks). Fresh oil change, brake sys check and charging/battery check. Winter is here oh im so thrilled! NOT! :)

/Angelo350Z/ 11-04-2013 04:13 PM

Finally washed and waxed it.

Rusty 11-04-2013 05:34 PM

The Nismo is sitting in the garage with an expired state inspection sticker. Can't do anything until the doctor says I can. :( Sitting here in my lazyboy with my foot on a pillow. :shakes head::shakes head:

Haboob 11-04-2013 09:00 PM

Thought about washing it this weekend, glad I didn't: Random rain from one single cloud Sat. night.

Thought about it again today, it's storming right now. :icon17:

Tricked you mother nature! SUCK IT!

52 this morning in southern ohio.
Yesterday it was 32.
:wtf:
Harry doesn't seem to mind though!
Harry is in the parking lot...looking all hot and fast. oh yeah :happydance: :driving:

JARblue 11-05-2013 06:42 AM

The Z has been parked overnight in the driveway the past two nights  First time that's ever happened  Today I will make it a priority to get some help moving furniture out of the garage after our Halloween party...

Ghostvette 11-05-2013 09:49 AM

Did an oil change (Mobil 1 and PureOne filter). Nervous as hell putting the lower cover back on, didn't want to strip any bolts. Put a little anti-sieze on each one, just in case (Winter is coming). Finally installed the hood struts from kellyefields, no problems, (beside me not being able to read directions as to where the washers go). Oh yeah, had to fix my JDM Sport tow hook, seems one of the bolts fell out. Solved with new cap screw and locktite. Waiting on Blizzaks and TPMS sensors so I can be ready to swap tires later this month. Pulled out my old dive weight belt to use for extra traction, it's about 40 lbs of lead. Combined with a full tank of gas, I should be fine. :)

I didn't think he counted as a celebrity, more like resident ID 10 T. I'm thinking more like AK, alcheng or kenchan....

Thank you gentleman!
BTW what is up with the pre-existing wring down there?
My volt meter showed 6v (not enough power for the fog) going to it. I assume that its for the "true JDM" Z
Either way we should have gotten one in the US spec'd Z

All excellent choices but no it is Fabio88. :roflpuke2:

Keep trying.

Waiz 11-06-2013 01:44 AM

Hadn't driven my car since our meet on Saturday night so I took the Z out for a little cruise around town, ended up at Target and actually saw a local Z32 member that I know

I must say that the Z loves the cold air of this time of year!

BTW..on topic: Harry is safely in the garage this fine day, supposed to rain later.
I love having a garage to keep my Z safe and dry :)

Yeah I will have mine back soon, but for right now it is occupied by my 83 zx and her new engine and tranny and various other parts. She will always have priority.
Soon enough I will have my 370 in her own cubby.

Decided to push it last night and try to make it home without refueling since I was in BFE to start.

I get to the gas station right by my house with this (~15mi remaining):

Only to get told by the girl at the station that all of their pumps are down. :eekdance:

Still made it to a nearby station, thankfully. Short shifting like a mofo.

Oh, and my TPMS seems to always come on when the car sits outside in cold weather now.

~2psi of difference and it freaks. Now I gotta waste a minute or two checking the tires and filling that bastard up.

True!
My tpms light was on only to find out there was no flat tire. The next morning, all tires still good, tpms still on.

Brought it to a usual tire shop for nitrogen refill to 37 psi (from 29 psi). Now it feels a lil bit bumpy. :(

It seems that if there's even a 2psi difference in a tire, it will trigger the TPMS. Every time it's gone off, one tire has been at ~32/33psi while the rest are 35psi.

kenchan 11-06-2013 11:31 AM

in cooler weather just overfill it to 37-38psi cold. :)
