Washed her yesterday then tried out meguiars white wax. Meant for light colored cars to make it easier to see the wax. Didn't help at all hmmm. Then vacuumed and cleaned the interior

meh, 'waxing' a car... :shakes head: unless it's a one-step sealant to also remove haze, these days i only use spray type polymers and waxes that are also safe to use over plastics, glass, and rubber bits. :D

Dropped by my dealer for an "Express" Ester oil change. Was alerted to the need to do the steering lock recall. Parts department had the part in stock for another Z that had not returned to get it done, when they ordered it 3 months ago. They put on the new part, changed the oil, washed it up, and I was on my way. 3 birds with one stone. :driving:

I love that strip LED tied into the turn signal. My favourite light mod to date.

Installed the hood strut kit from GarageLine. All black hardware, ~same height as hood prop, not a bad deal for $65.

Today I washed, and clay barred my car. Haven't done a clay bar before, and it's very easy. I couldn't believe how much smoother the paint was, and how filthy the clay got. However I noticed that the plastic painted parts weren't nearly as dirty as the metal painted parts. I hardly got any crap off of the plastic pieces, but the metal pieces were filthy. I could even tell spots I missed spray waxing after the clay barring because the microfiber towel would grab.
Anyway pleased with the effort, I recommend clay barring once in a while, it's very easy. |
Detailed and ready for first car outing of year, can't wait!

First attempt at swapping out my suspension. FAIL. Knew I should have bought a torch. :shakes head:
Oh well. At least I got my summer wheels/tires put on. |

Why did you need a torch? I just used a metric ton of pb blaster and it did the jod. |

66,000 miles of year-round driving. I couldn't get the nut to budge at all. Impact wrench and breaker bar. Nothing would get the nut to budge. |
Took her to raceway park with my other 370 buddy
