Interesting.

Wonder what reasons those could be, exactly?

Something to put on a mods list?

"Bling" that no one can see in the engine bay?

I'm with Critical, worthless mod and waste of money.

On Saturday, I had CiN Motorsports install my Invidia exhaust and delete the flex pipes. Sounds phenomenal!

onzedge 09-30-2013 07:29 AM

I do not understand why people give each other grief for their mods. For my part, it's my car that I own outright, it's my money and I'll modify it as I see fit. I do not need anyone's approval (except the Mrs. and she never complains). So why is it necessary to hassle people about their choices?

JARblue 09-30-2013 07:32 AM

I just found this awesome online parts store! It's called Kale Co Auto. They have so much amazing stuff I bought one of everything!!

Let's all calm down and quit bashing someone else's mod :tiphat:

You don't know his reasons, so why you gotta be an a$$? If you wanted to know, a better approach surely would be something like: "May I ask why you chose Stillen?" That's a much more pleasant conversation. I got a tune on a nearly stock Z, and I certainly didn't appreciate the idiots telling me that I wasted my $$$ cause I didn't have any mods. I had a perfectly good reason.

Don't post stuff on the internet if you don't want a million opinions on what you're doing, basically.

I couldn't care less if someone wants to blow $1500 on useless headers, I only posted because the dude copped a 'tude because someone shared an opinion.

IMO he only started his attitude because the conversation should have been over after Post #6357. Critical's following post certainly was deserving of a retort like that. Plain unnecessary. I would have given him some lip back as well.

Look at the title of this thread. It's not one that invites d-baggery. I'm not saying he can't share his opinion, but he could have used more tact in doing so without causing offense. He went out of his way to fish me out. Not cool.

Exactly. I tried taking the high road with him twice but he insisted on being an a$$.

:iagree:

I don't give people grief for this very reason. You mod your car because it makes you happy. I could care less how much money you spend on it, or how much horse power you're able to squeeze out of it. I'm not here to rain on anyone's parade.

Cry more? It's a public internet forum, not nursery school. Best policy is to ignore someone if they say something you don't like.

I will always reserve the right to give people grief if they invite it, like you did.

It is super foggy this morning and with my headlights on, managed to convince a van to let me by, he was doing 20 in a 45 MPH. Turns out the road was still there behind the fog, and I drove without incident.

LOL poor baby... And the oil cooler works perfectly fine. Maybe you should not comment on things you know nothing of and respect people's decisions.

I am getting ready to go home when I saw a CHP car going (possibly) to set up a publicized speeding crackdown.

I don't deserve to drive my Z... :(

I woke up this morning in my groggy state and discovered a new pothole in my regular route, ran over it going about 30 MPH with 20s!!! Holy crap that woke me up. Turns out, that gave me a new scrape (looks like a curb rash) on the front right wheel.

Later on that day, I usually park by reverse, but this time I parked head in. Turns out, the car is wider than I thought! I scraped my front right bumper to the wall AND added more curb rash to the wheel.

I think I should just drive a civic, I really don't deserve to drive a Z at this point. FML.

Ouch to the man above!

TPMS light came on today, first pretty cold day up in the PACNW. Too rainy and cold for me to too the tires off. Perhaps tomorrow will be more productive, haha.

Service manual doesn't list any diagnostics for the Spare with TPMS, haha, you got me!

Washed the dirty Z yesterday (discovered my car cover isn't water proof) after swapping out the G37 rims and required 32mm spacers on rear to make it look right, for sport rims I picked up Sunday.

All 4 were where I set em at and the spare was at 23.5psi. Try deflating it before a drive...you'll see.

Haha, yeah I always wanted Nismos (found a set in Missouri for $1600 but coudn't get there fast enough) or sport rims (finally found a set local for cheap).

Base 18's were cool but not for me, then the swap for 20" Niches but were heavy then trade for 19" G37's experiment. LOl

I know the swifts are good but I like my cushy base suspension ride.

lol I think the swifts ride smoother than my stock sport springs ever did.

No joke. My fronts were at 31 and rears@28.5. Spare was at 23.5 and thats the only tire I aired up and light went off.

Riptide67 10-01-2013 12:26 PM

Im gonna have to give that a look then. Thanks for the information!

Had an interesting drive to the office this morning since I pulled my calf muscle last night during volleyball. Left leg of course.

made me almost wish I had an auto....almost lol. Actually it was good, hitting the clutch forced me to stretch the muscle.

This Sunday should be an end of season cruise/spirited run through a National Park with lots of twisties, looking forward to that!
