washed and waxed, going on a 300 mile trip next week

TheW3r3W0lf 06-30-2013 10:08 PM

Was about 120 degrees all weekend so no road trips for me! Instead cranked down the AC in the garage and swapped the Meisterschaft front and mid pipe for the Nismo ones again since I couldn't hear myself think. The factory resonators really quiet it down but since I am running test pipes it still roars. The Meisterschaft muffler sounds awesome and looks great under the tail.

Yay, drivable again.

My z stayed home T.T I had to drive the SUV to fresh meet in at kean. So sad -.-

Did you see my vid on how good it repels water?
It is best used pre wax but can be used post. It is not glaze, but a sealant that acts like a "shell" to protect the paint. It can be used as a stand alone without wax (that is how it is in the vid). I always apply after a good cleaning and clay bar'ing.
It can be used by one of the foam applicator pads but I use a fine microfiber cloth. It is aerosol spray, and is sprayed onto the cloth. Wipe it on in small sections, then use another fine micro to buff it off. The longer it sets, the harder it is to buff off.
After applied, it is not as smooth as after wax, but still feels pretty smooth.

Man, I have no idea why but that Z looks so, I don't know, seamless? Not sure if it's the sky and car color combo, or the black tires or the no spoiler but it sure looks good!

Ok, I just have to know is your paint an eggshell type flat finish or did you shop the image? I have a gunmetal gray so that's out of the question!

Now I want a blue Z!

Just a heads-up, the sticky backing on those LED pods melts pretty easily. You may want to get some loctite or something to hold them in place.

So true -- the double sided tape is a joke.

Angrily took off my evo-r rear diffuser, it just will not stay on and fits like poo, so disappointing, I get compliments on it all the time...looks like its time to black out the rear...

Splurged on DetailersDomain. Bought that Sonax poly seal stuff, a gallon of their detail spray, some more deep wheel/iron cut stuff and a some dash shine stuff. Shipped yesterday so hopefully I'll get it in time for my 4th detail session
