My Datsun 280Z had an analog clock in the cluster. I like the continuity (of the past) but I'd much rather have useful gauges.

This I would like now. Goes with useful.

The 370Z is the "best bang for your Buck", but the Dollar is only worth 70 cents...

it would be better. But I think there could be better uses for those spots depending on what your plans are for the car.

I will share my plans for the centre gauge cluster when I go FI. I want to remove all of them and replace them with OIL Temp, Wide Band, Boost gauge/controller (like the AEM true boost I had in my Z32 2 different settings )

Like sonic370 said previously, Nissan cost cutted any type of oil cooling so they thought well we better show the poor customer how hot his oil is becoming w/no sandwich plate cooler.
he he he! F**K You Nissan!

99% of OEM oil pressure gauges are slow and inaccurate, aftermarket is far better.

TPMS is complete BS and waste of $$$$. This was standardized on passenger vehicles thanks to all the lazy asses that can't check their tire pressure once a month.

seriously though OP, the VVEL system adds a lot of heat to the oil system so the car got a factory gauge for not only the driver but also the car itself to keep track of oil temps and go into limp mode to protect itself if it has exceeded the factory limits (think it's 260*). oil temps were not really an issue on 350's unless they were tracked hard all day. doing a short stint of spirited driving, lets say on a nice mountain road, will cause oil temps on 370's to start climbing.

Heck just driving to work will make them climb without oil cooler here in Houston.

yea but all that money you spent on the car is going into the advanced structure, aluminum panels, hyper advanced DOHC engine, safety equipment and development...

oh wait, the focus has a lot those too^
