Paranoid owners change their oil themselves and do their best to avoid the dealer at all costs. You've got a lot more than seating position to worry about.

I dropped my car off one time for a consumption test and was so paranoid I took about 20 digital pics of the entire exterior and interior. I don't let anyone drive the car... hell when I had the tires changed I brought them the wheels off the car so they couldn't scratch the lug holes. And yes you are being unrealistic... infact we all are... we treat a car like it is life's greatest possesion. It's just a car at the end of hte day. |

Change the oil yourself... I had to have work done at Nissan with my 350Z and they put a nick in one of my Volk rims and cracked one of my airwalker Japan sideskirts.... Needless to say it was my last visit to Nissan. They paid me around $1000 for "fixing" the items so no complaints BUT rather then stressing just do it yourself best and ONLY way i do things on my car.

I hate others driving my car as well but, tough. If somebody is working on my car they need to drive it to see if it cured. Not on an oil change except in and out of the bay.
A cigarette wielding 400 pound fellow is where I would leave. Smoking is unacceptable in my vehicile.

If I was that paranoid, I would just leave the dealership and go to another one right way. Rather not let them work on the car and have to keep thinking about it later.

"Well.....I guess the people have spoken. I'll be going back to NY now" (a little Seinfeld humor there...couldn't help myself). So far the majority of you say I'm being unrealistic, a couple of you are as OCD as I am, and one guy who has no sympathy calls me an @ss. I'm not feeling the love my brothers! So here's my delimma, as Ken can probably figure out, no way am I changing my own oil let alone do any self service on it so where do I go?

Are you afraid that if they adjust your seat, you'll never be able to have it back at the position and you'll be driving stick like a rookie? Lol

When you go to Nissan you could always ask for the GTR mechanic to do all your changes and do it on the GTR lift as well which accomodates for a lower car....
At least this way you are getting someone that has to deal with people that own 100K dollar Nissans.... Otherwise jack the car up, hit the drain bolt change the oil filter put drain bolt back in put recommended oil type and amount in put cap on lower car down and start her up ![]() --- Thats the cliff note version with no commas and extreme fragments in the sentence. haha
