Clowns don't scare me. Maryland drivers do.

It's been a while, but I used to cruise round PG county back in the late 70's (in my Datsun Fairlady Roadster). I remember those drivers still.

m4a1mustang 06-11-2012 02:05 PM

how about 40mm/f2.8? i might do that as jack of all trades. i dont have a big fund for my dslr, but want sharper picts than wat my kit lens did.

good to hear your car's coming along again. :D

happytheman 06-11-2012 02:32 PM

Hey all! First time logging in today. I got pulled over for doing 37 in a 30 this am on the way to work. Teh pole-leese man state that he had pulled over four of us that work at the hospital this morning alone.....and that we (the employees) were "just going WILD"!! Ummm, I didn't know that 37mph was "going wild". Be advised guys...don't do 37 in a 30....you just might get cuffed, yer ride impounded and thrown in jail.

Called Stillen this morning and was somewhat dismayed to learn that H&R does not sell individual studs for their spacers... If you are in need of purchasing studs...you're going to have to purchase the whole kit. :shakes head:

wow... sucks. i suppose when the officer needs your help in the emergency room, you guys can all drive 25mph to get there. you know, 5mph buffer to ensure no wildness. :icon17:

which length studs do you need?

Can't say 100% But more than likely it's going to be OK. Trying to get it to the body shop next week. We did some quick basic measuring and all of that was bad at all. But only a laser machine will tell all. But IMO its not bad suspension wise and of course body work is always fixable

That's a good question Mr. Ken-San. I'm not sure. If I had the studs that were given to me (that were originally shipped with 10mm H&R spacers) and the ones that were shipped to me with the 15mm spacers, I could deduct how long the ones with the 20mm will need to be. As it is though, I've got the 15mm spacers installed up front right now...:(

Gurney sent me his 20mm H&R spacers...but with the studs that came shipped with the 10mm spacers that he replaced the 20mm with. His mechanic said "there'll be plenty of threads for the 20mm to be installed". There unfortunately weren't. So, when I ordered my 15mm spacers, I figured I'd use the studs that came with the 15mm kit on the 20mm spacers and vice-versa.....but no go.. Not nearly enough threads. It left me with BARELY 7 threads. :(

You live your life a quarter mile at a time (although you max out at 37mph, but right up to that point, those 3 seconds or less, you're free.

oh i see... hummmmm.... typically you want to have minimum 10mm thread to tighten down. is 7 threads 10mm? sounds like it should be fine but better safe than sorry.

So a 25$ part on my watts link is broken and annoying me. I'm now in depression trying to decide if I should replace the part or get a '11/'12 GT500 or maybe an e92 M3 (don't really like them that much, though?). :icon17:
