I've been desperately trying to determine the source of an annoying ticking sound that comes from my dash when I get over 4000rpm. I think it might be something wrong with the RPM gauge inside the gauge cluster, because the ticking speeds up in rhythm as the RPM rises, and it's DEFINITELY not coming from the engine. I'm hoping its just a faulty gauge cluster assembly - looks like an easy replacement.

TerribleONE 07-27-2012 12:33 PM

is it a tick or a rattle..? are you running stock exhaust?

kenchan 07-27-2012 12:53 PM

watever it is, that sounds annoying. :icon14: hope you get a replacement soon, tanooki. :)

So just got back from lunch where I rode in a coworkers Ford Focus. She has 4 different tire brands, two of which need to be replaced, hasn't changed her oil in a year, speeds like a bat out of hell. :ugh2: Makes me appreciate my ride more.
