If I remember correctly, he took the day off yesterday so he forced himself to work today. How was your Canadian Holiday, Mr. Galeforce? I don't know whether to assume you are still in retirement or back to work :icon17:

Got my tint done today. I usually try to get new cars tinted as soon as I can, but this was the quickest--had the Z less than two weeks and already got it into the tint shop.

Hi Jar :hello:

Our holiday weekend was great. Mrs.GaleForce and I had a few hours away from mini GaleForce so we took the Z for a up ice drive to a micro brew and a fancy chocolate maker :yum: The next day we went over to a friends house for a BBQ.

I am officially out of retirement as of today. The time frame is unknown. Could be a week, could be 5 weeks... Unfortunately I won't know until they tell me I'm done. :ugh2: I'll work my butt off now and look forward to my next retirement date. :rofl2:

I like the look of the Z without the rear spoiler. Nice looking car

the big type-r is only considerably bigger, not HUGEGANGOUS looking at the picts, i think. :icon17: i got the standard brushed stainless one for my Z. :p

the PWJDM was fine until i mis-shifted the other week when the rear of my Z spun out about 65degrees requiring a 120 degree counter and i was trying to get into 2nd gear when the knob slipped out of my hand causing me to spill- water-from-the-cup which is a big fail. :ugh2: it was an abrupt recovery from a drift and i did not enjoy it one bit. i blame it on the knob. :stirthepot:

Sounds like an end-user error! Now if you actually had the cup of water in-hand I would bow before you in awe, but that's not the case....is it?

My weekend was okie-dokie except for a squabble with my oldest sister about a long-term health care issue with my Father. She knows everything (especially about parenting although she has never had kids) so I should not even try to engage with her. She has spent her whole life in a series of control games -- doing all sorts of traditional male-stuff career-wise. It is difficult for her -- always trying to show that she has a bigger pen1s than her male counterparts. I should know better than to employ logic and compassion with those who have both an agenda and a huge chip on their shoulder.

Anyway, I digress... You asked, though. I am one of those guys that will tell you how it is going when you ask. Conversely, I expect others to tell me when I ask which is why I do not ask people how it goes very often. I usually just say hello. It all goes with being the people-person and champion of the underdog that I am.

Yesterday I drove up here (Gridley, CA) to one of my clients to help perform the annual physical inventory -- which is where I sit now as I write this. They like me being here although I feel guilty because it's a great deal of sitting around time in between furious spurts of activity.

Last, thanks for looking at my photos -- I need to break in my new rear PSS, but I drove my F-150 up here on this trip because this is farm country, dammit. I could not find my Hank Williams 8-track though. Oh well.

I sure have seen a lot of base model Z's being bought lately. Hope you guys have big plans.

So you had to endure Mr. Conway Twitty?

Ps. I'm sorry your sister has a pen1s. Was her name Charlie when she was growing up? :bowrofl:

I think it is more mod dangerous buying a base 370. When I bought my base touring didn't have big plans for the car, but now looking back at pics of what my Z used to look like I can't belive it is the same car. It is sitting in the garage right now with no door handle or Nissan emblems, they are out getting painted magnetic black to match the car.

I appreciate your openness and sharing. I can sympathize with your long term care situation for your father. We are also going through the same situation with both of my Grandmothers. It is unfortunate to see some siblings who cannot use logic and common sense to see what is best for the family member in need. In our case it's the same siblings who do not pull their own weight when helping with the day to day needs of their Mother. I'm sure everything will work out for us all, it's just a little stressful getting there.

I can help with the 8-track. I don't have Hank Williams, but I do have a couple from Elvis.... I know, it's just not the same.

Thanks. I was set on a spoiler when I started Z shopping, but I am really getting used to it without.

In addition to the tint, I picked up a set of "Z" valve stem caps. ;) Mostly, I plan to just drive it.

happytheman 07-02-2012 07:53 PM

Mr. Onzedge, this should help with those trips out to farm country
