Ok, so today something very strange happened. I was very low on gas down to about 1 gallon (i never let it get this low, but was going to jersey where gas was cheaper and had 4 dots, but of course they disappeared within 20 miles) and got to the gas station, turned the car off to fill her up. When I started the car the navi screen was stuck on the opening nissan graphic just looping over and over again, no sound, no navi nothing, and the hvac was stuck on ac blowing full blast coldest air possible. Im taking it to the dealer tomorrow just wondering what on green earth could have caused this? Anyone ever have this happn?

very strange indeed. ive not had this happen or read about it. i would pull out the hvac and stereo fuses, leave them off for like an hour or so, put them back in, and try restart.

Everything else works perfectly. Windows, starter, vdc off button, dash menu and lights, dome lights, headlights everything. Ill ask the dealer to try the fuse pulling trick i dont trust myself with it and dont want to do something that might void warranty

Thechidz 07-25-2012 10:23 PM

thanks mr. happy. the nismo's fit very well on the base body style. it doesn't look sunken in at all in person. :)

the front is ET40, but 9.5" and wide shouldered tires make them appear like ET32-33 on a 9". which imho, is perfect for stock height.

same goes for the rear, ET23 with 10.5" but with 285/35's and wide shoulder tires they fit perfectly.

im probably going to get RE11's next on these.

thanks, thechidz. i was alittle hesitant with the nismo wheel color cause i have cf bits on the car. when i first swapped them out from the Weds (gunmetal wheels) the CF looked out of place. :icon14: huge contrast between weds and these wheels. but after my head reset the nismo's looked fine. :icon17:

No spacers? You running 255/40 up front or 245/40?

I really, really like. I have been in search of a set sorta half heartedly for a little bit now, but after seeing that? I'm all :yum:

Footloose301 07-26-2012 12:22 AM

I really want some Nismo wheels but not paying for new ones and they're not sold on here too often and definitely not in my area.

I want some with either no tires or bald tires for cheap. Then I'll get them painted matched to my stock wheels ;)

Good morning all! :hello:

Got up on time, got my coffee and now I'm getting my chill on before rolling the Z in 45! :)

Have a great day!

How is it only Thurs:facepalm:

Gmorning guys!

Ken, NISMO wheels  What happened to your Weds???

Brantly, I know I asked this before but didnt see your response if there was one. Did you ever use the Dr. Colorchip?? I was washing my car yesterday and the amount of scratches, chips, etc in my paint is appalling. Im wondering how good that stuff really works.

Onzedge, how is it going up in "no mans land"? Hope the flight was good.

SurfDog 07-26-2012 06:57 AM

I just picked out my tips for Berk cat backs. (I went with the oval ones) I know, "who cares", but I'm super exited about my install and tune on Monday!!! I'm putting on a total intake, HFC, exh, and tune and can hardly wait to feel and HEAR the changes to my 09.

Kenchan, I don't think the dealer will pull your CB because I think it effects/disables other systems. I will put this discussion where it belongs in the other thread, but...

I pulled mine (its an 09, so totally necessary) and now the passenger side child-seat airbag/sensor/disable function does not work. On the other hand, as long as you don't put kids up there, its the only thing I can detect that is adversely effected.

Also the mod it a *totally* easy one, even for non-mechanical guys like me if you decide to take it on yourself. I see most ppl have the steering lock motor failure at about 30k miles or so. 500 bucks plus a tow! Sheesh!!!!

Good luck. Have fun. The build and getting to know the guts of your ride is half the fun.

Good morning and greetings from the lake at Battle Lake, MN. I am disappointed because the town grew by a little more than 100 people since my last visit and its population is now around 860 or so – a virtual metropolis. So I am checking in while waiting for folks here to get ready for the day. Obviously, I have no Z plans today.

On a different, and personal, note, today -- July 26 -- marks a milestone for me. It was 12 years ago today I took my first step on the path of living a sober and clean life. Since then, it's been one day at a time working on my "second chance" at life. Not always easy or simple, but always worth it. Thanks for reading and have a great day.

Alchemy 07-26-2012 07:08 AM

Good Morning, Mr. Onzedge. I'm sorry to hear the thriving metropolis of Battle Creek, MN is just too much for you :icon17:

Congratulation on the 12 year anniversary! :tiphat: That path is a difficult one that not many people are able to walk, and you should take pride in your accomplishment. Simply inspiring

it's been raining here too. my G looks like she drove through a septic tank. :crying: well, if normal folks saw it, they would say 'your car's sooo clean.' :icon17:
