If you "go advanced", you can highlight text and hit the link button --- looks like this http://www.the370z.com/images/editor/createlink.gif --- and add a url to it.

Not on standby for the ambulance tonight. Get to sleep all night as long as we don't get any fire or accident calls. Hoping to attend cruise night tomorrow if the weather cooperates.:driving:

shadoquad 08-08-2012 07:36 PM

Driving home, smelled a burning.

"Ok, just changed the oil. Perhaps we spilled and the excess is burning off."

Nope. Pulled it into a parking lot, looked underneath, oil draining out through the shroud like a running faucet.

F*ck. Still 45 mins or so from my ride picking me up.

Fire 08-08-2012 07:39 PM

That sux shado. Did they not tighten the oil plug?

I belong to a small volunteer fire department. We have alot of calls due to 2 4 lane highways and a nursing home type facility. We are on tap for about 450 calls this year. Have had a fatal mobile home fire, 3 or 4 fatal MVA's and the usual OD's and assaults. Very busy and draining. All this in a town of about 3000.

Fire 08-08-2012 07:50 PM

Shado I'm sure you will find it is a small thing easy to fix.

GaleForce 08-08-2012 08:50 PM

I pulled mine (its an 09, so totally necessary) and now the passenger side child-seat airbag/sensor/disable function does not work. On the other hand, as long as you don't put kids up there, its the only thing I can detect that is adversely effected.

okay this was untrue. just got back from dealer he says my airbag is fine. The light is not supposed to stay on while driving it is only supposed to light up a moment during start to show the airbag is off. He says this is new to the Z the older Nissans had the light stay on.

:icon14:

Anyhow sorry if I confused anyone.

Me too, dude... Hope it was just a minor leak and easy fix.

I put about 100 miles on the Z tonight. :driving:

Got caught in a little rain storm and that was a surprise- I don't think there was any in the forecast until tomorrow and we haven't gotten hardly any all summer anyway. The car looks like I dipped it in honey and drove through a dust storm... :ugh2:

I have to say though, it was totally worth it. :icon17:
