I removed the battery from my fob completely, went and sat in my car, hit the start button, and guess what? It fired right up! So it really doesn't make sense for the manual to say that if your battery runs low you can stick it into the fobgina to start the car, because you don't need any battery whatsoever to start the car! It's bizarre.
