regular gas + octane booster= ? RON

I curious if anyone has run regular gas and an octane booster that is compatiable with the Z in daily communting. If so post your experience.

those bottles aren't cheap either.. think it'd be less expensive to just get the high octane from the station hehe

This is your best bet. All your going to get is a little better throttle response. I'd leave it alone personally.

5 gallons of toulene/2.5oz 2 stroke oil/fill up the rest of the tank with 93 octane =100 octane fuel.

It works great!!!!

Also you should know that Toulene is in everybody gasoline right now,it is a by product of gas when they manufacture it.

Is this obtainable outside of California? About a dozen years ago this was taken off the shelves.

Never mind Sherwin Williams. Read on further.

Depends on how you define "work".. because I expect some of them make all kinds of claims.

I can say that I have a few older cars with high compression that detonate if I run regular. If I find myself in a situation where I'm not able to purshase premium, I put one of these in and I don't have an issue.

Check the google, I bet it's been studied in labs, just make sure it's an independent study.

I just checked the Google for myself. It seems like a tough question to answer, due to variability in additive types, the gas you start with, and the methods of test. Next time, I'll wait until I hear the detonation and then add it in order to determine if it is working.
