I curious if anyone has run regular gas and an octane booster that is compatiable with the Z in daily communting. If so post your experience.

I curious if anyone has run regular gas and an octane booster that is compatiable with the Z in daily communting. If so post your experience.

I put 6 bottles of octane booster in every fill up...
But seriously, I am pretty sure this stuff has all been tested and it doesnt work...

5 gallons of toulene/2.5oz 2 stroke oil/fill up the rest of the tank with 93 octane =100 octane fuel.
It works great!!!! Also you should know that Toulene is in everybody gasoline right now,it is a by product of gas when they manufacture it.

Depends on how you define "work".. because I expect some of them make all kinds of claims.
I can say that I have a few older cars with high compression that detonate if I run regular. If I find myself in a situation where I'm not able to purshase premium, I put one of these in and I don't have an issue. Check the google, I bet it's been studied in labs, just make sure it's an independent study. |

I just checked the Google for myself. It seems like a tough question to answer, due to variability in additive types, the gas you start with, and the methods of test. Next time, I'll wait until I hear the detonation and then add it in order to determine if it is working.
