At our hospital we have an issue with too much overtime. So administration in all their wisdom 1) Removed all the LPNs from the regular floors. 2) Adopted a "fit test" to weed out incoming nurses that the test says don't "fit" into the area they applied to. 3) Hired a consultant firm to tell them their processes area wasting time, which they have made no time saving changes. 4) After merging with a hospital loosing money they adopted their computer system. 5) Added a medication dispersion system that takes twice the time to dispense meds. WTH is all upper management brain dead???

We should be exporting our management. That would equal the playing field. Do they take classes in stupidity or does it come naturally with the position?
