Hello fellow z lovers! Just Got back from supercar Saturdays (big car show with lots of exotics, muscle cara, sports cars) was good turnout but rain and cold weather were.annoying. weather people said 78 and sunny today. It was raining and 55 :( but the z magically stayed clean! Also I detailed my engine bay and I must say I competed well with the big boys

I see... oil change shouldn't cost to much but I wouldn't do it either if I was you.... :ugh2:

Hopefully you can drain some later on today... though I bet you must be too busy checking out and revving up the exhaust right now, LOL

SPOHN 05-05-2012 02:46 PM

Installed splitter rods, APR carbon fiber GT3 mirrors, APR carbon fiber Gurney Flap, Shine Auto rear splats. Pics to come later tonight in my journal.

Again I'd like to thank my sponsor APR Perfromance for all these parts. When installing these carbon fiber products the quality is perfect. The way the weave is laid is so nice. I couldn't find one area where the CF was pulled or stretch.

I'm so glad I decided to make this the first mod. I was in front of the auto shop when I heard it turn on and could not stop smiling. Took a very spirited drive home to enjoy it.

I need a better way to capture it, but here's a really crappy video taken by the spouse:
Nissan 370Z Fast Intentions Catback Exhaust with 18" Resonators - YouTube

There's only one issue.......and maybe you guys can give me your opinion.
Since I bought used, the heat wrap was not included of course. The shop used this instead: Amazon.com: Silver Heat Protector Insulating Fire Sleeve Spark Plug Wire Boot 8 Cyl: Automotive to protect two lines. each one was about 6 inches in length. Do you guys think this is adequate enough?

That's funny right there! You punched the accelerator and came! :icon18:

I'm so happy to hear that Tracie!

yah, i too am kinda surprised the shop didn't have an extractor. it's not anything special. just a tube and either a hand pump (mine) or hooks up to a compressor... hummm...

ouch on the 2hr post-wash rain. :eekdance: hate it when that happens. i remember washing my dd over a decade ago in the cold, everything was clean, pulled car into garage since storm was coming...blizzard started and i get a call from wife to pick her up from her parent's house. wtf, im like drive yourself home, or have your parents drive you home... i just washed the car! i was traumatized after that. :ugh2: lol :icon17:

Now I'm actually pissed! The personnel at the front desk at Tire Kingdom failed to mention that their more experienced guys go home at 3pm when I stopped by there yesterday. Tomorrow they can't do it either. I was informed that if I get it to them early on Monday they can do it. Well..............myself, including the majority of the work force in America work Mon-Fri until AT LEAST 5pm....so looks like Im farked until next weekend.

How much time does it take to have the tires mount? Maybe you can drop off the tires to them on Monday and go back with you Z in another day in the morning or lunch time, I bet 45 mins is more than enough for them to mount&balance. :driving: GL dude!!

RiCharlie 05-05-2012 05:16 PM

Today I went for a nice drive with my loving spouse. I was switching channels on Sirius radio and I told her that nothing seemed to appeal to me. As we came to a stop at a red light in a rural area, I said, "you know what kind of music I like best?", as I hit the Mute button. She innocently replied, "You like silence?" "No" I replied, "Its something else... THIS!"! ..AS I PUNCHED DOWN HARD ON THE ACCELERATOR!

Now there is no more pleasing a sound than that of a duet ..and the deep throated roar of the engine was a perfect complement to her frantic screaming....true music to my ears..:)

What is the fascination with Trudy's? Never really liked that place.

How goes it Z peeps? Heading out soon to get a margarita, wash her and clean her up a bit and then jump on the highway for a cruise. Have a good night y'all!

hey Mr.kenchan, so far I will suggest either Pioneer or Kenwood HU, my friend who is in car-electronics business told me this two are the best quality right now, but he suggest Kenwood between the two.

Anyway, you mention about compatibility with android OS.... I kind of give up hope on that since all the manufactures are only focusing they software develop towards iOS, which is extremely sucks!!!

Unless android OS can really take over the popularity of iOS in the coming couple years, I can't really see we will have HU compatible with android, which is very sad.... :ugh2:

You know my neighbor had the gall to ask me the same thing. I'll start yours as soon as I wash my Accord (never)

OMG Trudy's is the $hit! Their food is blah as far as Tex-Mex goes - I typically stick with the fajitas - but their top shelf Mexican Martinis are quite tasty IMO (they're just a strong margarita in a tall shaker with limit of two). Yes, I can make a better margarita at home with just Tres Gen Aņejo, agave nectar, and limes, but that's always the case vs a restaurant/bar.

Maybe its just cause my wife and I frequented the place 3-4 times a week for six months when we first started going out. :icon17: It will always have a place in my heart. Enjoy your margarita and Good Night :hello:

One thing I will say about the Pioneer AVIC is the forum support is phenomenal and you can upgrade the 110BT or the 120BT to the 130BT via firmware upgrade yourself. The only difference between the 110 and 120 hardware-wise is the 120 added an HD radio tuner. Otherwise the software gives you all the features of the 130 (of course, its still limited Android compatibility).
