thanks, happy. yah, it was just a matter of time. i still need to find out if the mic polar pattern is going to work facing forward or aft. i want to make it facing forward, but then i will have a hard time reaching the power button on the rode mic. lol if i face it towards the rear, i think im going to get too much road noise, but i will be able to rid the shoe to pedal clunk noise i keep getting pre-launch. will have to play with it.

Looks good. Have you tried it out yet? Does the mic pick up any vibration or noise from the bar?

Edit - oops, I assumed this is for the mic...

i will definitely continue using the gopro in my car. i want to get the steady-shot for the cameras i vid my kids. i can't get a clean steady shot while walking with the Flip camera... kids are always moving around so i need the quick steady shot + decent audio without carrying other gear. the Flip has decent sound.

i ordered up a rode video mic pro. will see how that works on the gopro mic input, but the intended use for that mic is for my digital recorder. i need the cord to be isolated from the mic as the cord rubbing things gets transferred into the recording. the rode has isolators/suspension mounts so i am hoping it will take care of that problem. the rode comes with a 3/8 boom pole screw hole on the bottom of the hot shoe, so i needed to get the 3/8 to 1/4 adapter.

Good morning all!

Yesterday was not a good day for me at all in terms of work. I blew out some settings remotely from another location that directly impacted two important switches, taking a number of important servers offline for an hour and a half.

Well, live and learn. Hopefully there isn't too much political blowback from it.

Totally meant to post last night but I came home to dead primary computer. No response at all, so I swapped out the power supply for one I know is good. Same thing... nothing. It ended up being the damn power cord I have never had that happen before, and I sure wasted a massive amount of time swapping out PS.

Mr. GaleForce, this one's for you.

Good morning Brantly.
I'm guessing you'll be laying low at work for a couple of days. It's all good. We all make mistakes.

Thanks for the pictures Jar. It looks great. I'll be putting it on my engine dress up list.

Good afternoon Mr.kenchan. I have been very busy here. Just getting to log on now.

Z related, I have a Stillen license plate bracket to install. And I'll be removing the front bumper so I can try to get a better fit with my front lip. Oh, and I'm still on the hunt for a body shop. I'm at the point now where I just need someone to clean it up and spray it. I can look after the installation.

I got a bit of a break for the last three days but I'm back into the swing of longer days now. Trying my best not to stay too late though so I can keep up my workout schedule. Getting up at 4:30 every morning usually means I need to be in bed around 9-10 to get enough sleep.

JAR- not sure about the gas cap. i like that there are holes in your oil cap where if it gets too hot or tight during an oil change, you can slot a screw driver to turn it.

my nismo one gets EXTREMELY hot so i have to wear my work gloves and crank it while looking like this (>_<) errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

That was definitely a positive feature, since even the plastic oil cap is pretty hot to the touch on my kitchen-experienced fingers - my wife calls them asbestos fingers
